A Nature Meditation

You are resting by a silently passing brook in the country side. It is springtime plus everyday life is moist and green? Sitting on a stone, the views and sounds of the rushing water start to do the job their mystical technique right into your nerve system.

Slowly, using the plain repeating of the water's music and the harmonious charm of the natural environments, the countless electronic minds of your brain commence to absolve into the tension-absorbing aria.

All the concerns, projects and problems, that had filled up your thoughts to shattering ability initiate to go away.

The blowing wind rubs your figure with touch of coolness as the sun unknots your muscular tissues with touching comfort.

There is nothing at all to carry out, no place to go and absolutely nothing to think about. Simply lie back and soak up the relaxed vibrations that rush into each part of your being, susurrating, "be at peace, soothe old man, all is good now".

A delightful sleep comes across you; certainly not actually sleep yet a half-conscious-half-sleep condition, where the plants, sounds and air initiate to come within and combine with most of the feelings and thoughts. It is just as if the door of your thoughts has been opened up and all of those conversations, perceptions and actions resting unanswered, drifting at a variety of depths in the ocean of the your mind begin to drift upwards and outwards.

Reality right now is a blend of the outer and inner.

From time to time we get captured by an upward drifting feeling of fear, bitterness, an attachment or an image, and just before we understand it, we reach the surface once more thinking, pondering, bothering, being shaken by the surges of attachment.

However the sway continues, we start to go down once again, for now we find that we can not truly plunge since diving is very intense - there is a lot of energy - we get hooked too quickly on higher drifting rubbish.

We naturally understand the dance of the pure water, sinking, seeing, releasing, being really kept going the upright streams of new water coming from the bottoms of our mindset, just like a seagull with wings spread out sliding the air streams flowing contra it with no a motion, with no an attempt, allowing the air carry out all of the task.

By now, we are no more worried about exactly where we are heading. The water gets more clear, without dirt. We have transcended the levels of anxiety produce, past ruins of old thoughts, traumas, failures and relationships. We have danced thru the caves of indignation and

All right, you just make yourself comfortable, close your eyes and know that you are in a safe place and you can leave this state at any time you choose....just separate your hands and let them lie loosely in your lap... or by your sides if that's more comfortable... it's better if your legs are uncrossed... but it doesn't matter if you feel you need to move just slightly, now and again... you don't have to be absolutely still... just be comfortable and relax the whole body as much as you can. I want you to concentrate on your breathing, just be aware of every breath.. now I want you to take a deep breath and hold it for a moment before breathing out slowly... just allowing your whole body to relax as you do so... and I want you to keep your eyes closed now and just keep listening quietly to the sound of my voice... you'll be aware of those other sounds, too... sounds inside the building, sounds from outside, people walking outside... but these won't disturb you... in fact, they'll help to relax you as they fade away as you concentrate on your breathing. And the sound of my voice, the only sound you're interested in is the sound of my voice... and while you're listening to the sound of my voice, I want you to concentrate for a moment on your breathing... breathing slowly and steadily and evenly, just as if you were trying to convince somebody that you were absolutely sound asleep... and as you breathe out each time, just allowing your whole body to relax more and more... so that you gradually find yourself feeling as if your whole body was sinking further and further into the chair with each breath you breathe...…

You will make yourself comfortable... Once feeling comfortable and safe in your chosen place… You will close your eyes… Listen to my voice… Any noises in the background are unimportant… From now on, you will only hear my voice… Concentrate on your breathing… Breathe in… Hold it for a few seconds… Breathe out… Notice how each breath in, is equal to the amount of time it takes to breathe out… Repeat this one more time… Now you are going to relax your mind and body by allowing any tension to flow from your head, to the extremities of your toes… Keep concentrating… You are in control… You will be in control throughout this session…Continue with your breathing as you would normally … Now relax the muscles in your scalp… Think of your present position… Your purpose for this exercise… Your head is getting heavier and more relaxed… Your subconscious mind will start to imagine the rest of your body relaxing, in order for you to achieve your set goal and reason to be here today.…

Over the weekend I tried my best to take 5 minutes to myself to re-center and be present. Tonight I was having trouble winding down, so after my tea, I searched for “Nighttime Meditation” on youtube. I meditated for about six minutes until I started to drift into sleep. I enjoyed the meditation because for those few moments of the day, I was able to quiet my mind, relax, and become sleepy. I feel that guided meditation works best for me; listening to the soft spoken words of the man from the video really helps me to smash all the irrelevant thoughts going through my head and really focus on what was going on in that present moment. I also enjoyed the part of the meditation where the man was guiding me to feel my body parts, from my feet up to the tip of my head. At this point, feeling relaxed, aware, and present I began to doze off. Of course, my head told me “Hey! You’re dozing off!” … there I go thinking again, and I shut off the video and immediately fell asleep.…

I love the most the chirping of birds in the morning. The melodious chirping is enchanting. They seem to welcome the sun with their sweet notes. After walking half a mile I sit in a pretty rose garden. The every sight and smell of those beautiful flowers cheers me up. Small dew drops on petals and leaves look like precious pearls. The sight pleases the eyes. I meditate there for a while. I forget the hustle and bustle of my daily life and escape from worries temporarily I feel a new strength is being injected into my otherwise tired body. I feel some new sense of joy as I relax while sitting in the silence around me.…
