It was 5:30 am. Justin, Blake, and I were catching horses to go to work. It was supposed to be an easy day of it too. Us 3 went to the pasture we were supposed to be geathering. We unloaded our horses and got on them. We trotted of into the the most brushey, tree coverd, canyon filled, pasture on the whole ranch.
It took us 2 hours of walking to geather them into a near by wheat field. Justin and i counted them while Blake pushed them so we could count them along the fence. We got our count which was 308. We loaded up and went to the next pasture.
This pasture was not a brushy but just as rough. We geatherd them, pushed them down the fence, and counted them. We got our count of 195 head of 550 pound yearlings. Justin (the boss) said we need to doctor 2 of them. So Blake went running after one, and i went, slowly sorting the other out of the heard, and roped the other. Blake caught his pretty fast, then Justin went and heeled it.

After i caught him i stopped my horse really hard, which made the yearling do a back flip and lad on his head. The yearling laid the for a while like he was out of breath, so i got of with my horse holding the rope tight so the yearling wouldn't get up and run off. I got down there and tied him down so he couldn't move. I walked back to my horse, got on, walked him forword, leaned down, and took the rope off the yearlings head.
I sat there waiting for Justin to get there with the medicin to doctor him. Justin came trotting over to give him the shot he needed. When he doctored him and let him up, he didn't get him. Justin looked at him and said i broke his neck when i ripped him over back words. That was one of the coolest days i have ever experienced in a long

The day I took off on my 4 wheeler, and left my Mom and Dad in the dust. It started out awesome and fun, then turned out to be very scary. It was July 4, 2013, my family and I loaded up our 4 wheelers for a fun day in the great outdoors. We all unloaded our 4 wheelers, then took off out into the desert. I wanted to see how fast I could go around the sharp corners on dirt roads. It was so much. Today was the day I lost my son and the great Beowulf is to blame. I feel it. I feel the emptiness that comes when a mother loses her child. I hear my son calling out for me, wishing I was there to help. I feel the broken bones and the screams that my child, my sweet baby boy, made while Beowulf tore him from this world. I feel the anger, and the ferocity of a mother bear, but i have failed to protect my cub. I have traveled to the surface, far from the safety and comfort of my cave beneath the water, to kill beowulf. I have captured him and i will kill him. His puny blade does no damage to me, for i am too strong for him. I am winning, the life slowly draining from Beowulf’s body, until i remember my greatest weakness; I am the only one who…

There is no doubt there are egotistical, self-absorbed people in today’s society. Their personal choices are made through the idea of benefiting just themselves. Now, there are charitable individuals in this world that drive, not just themselves, but everyone around them to a happier state in life, even if that means making sacrifices. Sacrifice is the ability to give up something with the intention of it resulting for the greater good. If everyone in this world conducts sacrifices on the daily, there would eventually be nothing to sacrifice for. Unfortunately, that would never happen, prompting more people, like my parents, to make all these sacrifices.…

I strongly believe that if one is to be successful in society, setting goals and prioritizing them is very crucial. Having your goals set and prioritizing them does not only give you a clear focus on things you have to do, but it helps you to organize your plans so that you can set time limit and boundaries in achieving those goals.
