My Spiritual Journey Research Paper
My Freshmen year I was challenged by my faith.I was raised to going to church so to me it was an ordinary thing I had to do every Saturday.When I was little I was excited to attend but the older I got the more I stop paying attention when I was told about the heart condition I had.It made me look for an answer,I would spend the sleepless night to try to understand God.I feel in depression during that time,until I came across two bible verse .1 Corinthians 10:13 saying "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." I learn that God let this challenge to make me get stronger mentally,physically, and spiritually and Jeremiah 29:11 saying "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." …show more content…
at that moment I didn't realize the the purpose.That Day I gave my life to Christ and let him take control of my life I was baptized that year.I decide after to help in the church in Pathfinders( boy/girl scout) and in the youth program as sub-director and now I am the director for the youth group and it an amazing privilege to work in teaching about God reason why I decide to learn Theology and children

    Escondido Christian School ( ECS ) is an amazing school, I love and am extremely lucky to be going here. However, there are some things that I think if we upgrade some things, it would make the school a little more fun from Kindergarten, all the way up to eighth grade. So, I thought of a few things that I think would be really fun. The first thing that I thought of was, I thought would be the most fun. Cheerleading was one thing that the school doesn’t have and lots of people would probably want to do it. I was thinking that we could have it for an elective, but there would also be a cheerleading team for people who really wanted to cheerlead. The team could practice after school when the sports teams would have practice and could cheerlead at games. The only problem with that is that the boys and girls both have games at the same times.     My faith journey has always been about growing in faith in order to assist others in the communities, countries or anywhere God’s desire will lead me to make a different in people lives. It has always been my goal or dream growing up in Liberia (West Africa) to work in the kingdom of God in order to convey the word of God to his people that are still in darkness. However, like I mentioned earlier, I was eager as a little boy to attend church with my uncle because he was the only family member that was attending church as well as a deacon of the church but my parents couldn’t allowed me to attend church with my uncle because Christianity was considered a (taboo).     My faith has enabled me to handle life challenges from my past and present. Some of these challenges have been series of events that I could hardly believe were happening, while others came with great joy. At five years old, my younger brother, Chandler, died unexpectedly.
