My Precious Daughter
MY PRECIOUS DAUGHTER

In my life I have been through a lot, both good and bad. The one thing that changed my life is the day my precious daughter was born. Seeing her for the first time after waiting 9 long months changed my whole outlook on life instantly. Some people wonder how can you love and care about something so small. A baby is not a thing. A baby is a part of you that will never go away!
My daughter was born April 6, 2012 at 10:21 am. She was 7lbs 5ozs and 18 ½ inches long. After 9 long months of waiting, my daughter finally came into this world. It was the best day of my life. I was the first person to hold her after she came out. Holding her I didn’t want to put her down. I was so excited and overwhelmed by that fact that my baby girl was finally here where I could hold her. Seeing her looked like I was looking in a mirror. She was born 100 % healthy in all aspects. We named her Aryanna. We named her after her godfather RIP Nicholas S. Carnute. That’s how we came up with Nikole.
My daughter being born changed my life and my whole outlook on life. I learned that a lot of the things our parents told us when we were younger like, get good grades, show respect for people and always be nice to everyone wasn’t to be mean or bad parents, it was because they love us. A parent’s love for their child/children is unconditional. My daughter means the world to me and I would go to the end of the earth for her.
In conclusion, to my essay my daughter is my world and I would do anything to protect her, love her, care for her and anything to make sure she wants for nothing. She has my heart and having her changed my life and I wouldn’t change it back or for the worse ever again!

Quite possibly the most impactful event in my life was the death of Harriet Williams. Harriet was a foster mother and a devout Christian. She had fostered six children to adulthood and one of her own. When she stumbled upon me I was only 2 months old and the story she would always tell was and I was so cute that she just had to adopt me but because she didn't want to make the other children jealous she adopted all of them as well. Harriet had enough love in her heart to adopt 7 other boys and two girls all because she loved me. Looking back on it now she probably said that to all of us but it will always be special to me. So for the next 14 years I had a family just like any other family but also unlike any other. My mothers thought was that…

On March 9, 2010 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She weighed six pounds, eleven ounces and was 21 inches long. Her beauty took my breath away. Once the doctor spanked her bottom and I heard her cry it was like music to my ears. As they placed her in my arms all of the pain I felt from my 14 hour delivery vanished. I felt as if I had just won an Olympic race and I came in 1st place. My trophy was this beautiful bundle of joy. My husband and I decided to name her Adrianna Renee. The emotional bond or attachment that I felt for my daughter had me speechless. Then the nurse told me they had to take her briefly to do some type of test on her called Apgar score. She explained to me that the test was a standard scoring system that allows the doctor to evaluate Adrianna’s condition quickly and objectively. At first I was skeptical because my daughter looked perfect in my eyes. So the nurse takes her from me to go have the test done and while they are gone the other nurses tend to my needs. It seemed like forever but it only took 10 minutes and they were done with the Apgar score. Adrianna had done great scoring a 10 the highest an infant can get meaning she was perfect like I knew she would be.…

In the short story "The Love of My Life," two teenagers make one bad decision and their lives are changed forever. The author, T. Coraghessan Boyle, wrote the story based on an actual news story that had occurred a few years back. The author does a great job of making the relationship between Jeremy and China seem so wonderful and almost innocent, that it is hard to be angry with them. The two characters in the story, Jeremy and China, are young and are head over heels for each other. The very first line of the story is all it takes to make the reader realize that these two youngsters share the true meaning of love, "they wore each other like a pair of socks." All of that changes when the two find out that China is pregnant. Instead of properly handling their situation, they have the baby and dispose of it in a dumpster at a motel. Although the story has a very upsetting plot, you can't help but feel some sympathy toward the characters.…

Something difficult I have gone through that changed me. Although, in the beginning it was extremely difficult to cope, I believe this experience changed me for the better. It has shaped me into the person I am today. Being the oldest of three in a broken family has forced me to become a role model, and taught me to take on large responsibilities. I learned how to use my independence for the better of my siblings. I learned how to cope with difficult people, I learned how to put on a happy face, I learned how to leave my family life at home. I learned how to be happy with my friends and at school. I learned how to smile through the day, ultimately being content with my life. I gained the strength to look at the pros and not the cons. This unfortunate situation has caused me to become a more positive person. If I could give one piece of advice to…

I can still remember the day the doctors told me I was pregnant. That immediate sense of fear swallowed me whole and time seemed to stand still. It was not until a couple of months later that I realized there was no changing the situation and that I needed to make the very best of it. Finding out I was pregnant started out as a very scary experience but ultimately was one of the most positive and rewarding experiences I have ever endured. After the fear settled a little bit I was able to really start thinking about my life and what I needed to change. Up until that day at the doctors I was living day by day doing what I needed to do for me and no one else. I had no job, I was living with my parents and my only source of excitement came from the local bar rooms late at night. I knew things needed to change and I set out on a mission to make that change happen. Alone and afraid I was able to swallow my pride and ask my family for help and the guidance to get my life back on track before this baby entered our world. All through my pregnancy I knew I loved my unborn son more than I have ever loved anything in this world. I knew that my life was no longer mine…
