My Personal Religion
My Religious Belief I am a Christian and I believe in the Holy trinity: God, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
• God is the most high God, all-powerful, all-knowing, the creator, full of unfailing love and truth, God is the only "true" God. He is the light.
• Jesus is the son of God, he is God in the flesh, he came into this world for two purposes, to teach us how to live on earth and because God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, Jesus. Jesus died on cross for our sins, and is sitting at God's right hand today.
• The Holy Spirit is the spirit of love that dwells in each and every last one of us, it is not a part of the body so if the body dies, the spirit will continue to live. Because love never dies.
All three, God, the son, and the Holy Spirit are one, which is love. A Christian's core belief system basically boils down to what's in the heart and in the heart should be nothing but love. Unfortunately, our heart's isn't naturally overflowing with the love. The heart takes time to blossom because as humans, we really don't know what true love is, we only know the love the world has taught us and that love is selfish/ false. We learn true love when we build a loving relationship with God and that requires a lot of patience, faith, time and God's help. At any time in our lives, we can have a loving relationship with God. Many people choose not to accept God because they are walking in the dark, which is why we say God is the light. The people who are in the dark is brainwashed by the sin of this world and can't see truth (light). Nonetheless, God wants us to come to him as we are, right now today, not when we are rich or when we think our lives is finally in order so now we can give him our attention. God wants our attention right now. God said that if we take one step, he will take two. He said this to encourage our relationship with him and to reinforce the fact that he loves us and will never turn his back on us, even if we are

Although Christians believe the Holy Spirit is undeniably true, other people like Mormons or Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Christians adopted the concept of the trinity from the pagans. Certain pagan cultures like the Babylonians and the Assyrians developed a Trinitarian belief far from the birth place of Christianity, so it is understandable why people assume that Trinitarianism was introduced to the Christians rather than it being an original thought. However, Christianity’s Trinitarianism differs from the idea ancient pagan cultures had. Rather than believing that one God is composed of three parts, ancient pagans held to a triad, or three separate gods who reigned over other gods. The pagans held a more polytheistic belief whereas Christianity…

    Holy Trinity and Trimurti

On the triangle, in the middle there’s God, on the top there’s father, on the other two sides there are son and Holy Spirit. That means Father, Son and Holy Spirit are God. But Father is not the Son, or the Son is not the Holy Spirit. They are different from each other. This trinity is really similar with Trimurti in Buddhism. There’s a unity of Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu as three persons in one Godhead. Shiva is known as “the destroyer”, Brahman is known as “creator”, and Vishnu is known as “protector”.…

The views of individual responsibility versus social responsibility have shifted many times in past years. I believe that personal responsibility can only occur when a person has the desire and the proper tools to be able to make necessary changes to support their self-well-being independently. Individuals should be responsible for themselves and held accountable for following through with any strategy that is agreed on to promote self-reliance. They have to be invested in themselves and be an active member in the process to achieve desired goals and success. I do not believe that individuals can be completely self-reliant without any outside support for their course of a lifetime. My personal belief is that all people at one time or another…

    My Religious Belief System

My religious belief system is embedded in Christianity. I was born into a family who worshiped as Methodist and I am still Methodist. Growing up my mother not only sent us to church, she went with us along with my grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins. Even though my father did not attend church often, he believed in God and supported my mother’s desire to have her children in church. The neighborhood I grew up in consisted of a great deal of my mother’s family and everyone served at the same church, right there in the community. My religious beliefs, directed my life in the sense of keeping my family close, taking my children to church, and teaching them the right way. I remember before my baptism, my pastor explained to me the importance of being baptized and partaking in communion. The first time I accepted communion at the age of 12, I felt like I was receiving a part of Jesus in my body as protection against anything and everything. Later, I learned the real reason for communion is repentance and the need for forgiveness. My nurturing from church became an ethical path growing up. Without this direction in my life, a number of things I have experienced would probably cause me to detour too another way of thinking and doing things.…

I will be showing the similarities and differences of two of the world’s oldest religions Hinduism and Islam. Hinduism and Islam are the third and second most popular religions in the world respectively. They differ in many ways including idol worship, monotheism and their history. Islam originated in Arabia as a reaction towards prevailing native traditions and is based on the revelations formed by Muhammad the Prophet. Hinduism originated by a result of the synthesis of different indigenous and foreign traditions. In Hinduism you will find the patience and tolerance of ancient traditions which Is willing to let the world take its own time to appreciate its wisdom and understand its universal appeal, and In Islam we can find the vibrancy of a religion that is intent upon conquering the world in its zeal to embrace humanity. Both religions have aspects about them that can relate and not relate to each other and in the paper I will be examining what those aspects are.…

It accepts that the Godhead exists in three ontologically equal yet distinct beings in the persons of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Their essence as members of the Godhead is verily the same, there is no iota of difference or distinction between any of them to the other insofar as their ontological being is concerned. They have always been God, they have always been members of the Triune God and there is perfect and complete unity and community within themselves. Their relationship with each other is also unique to and from the other. “The Father is the Fount of divinity, the Son is eternally begotten of the Father; the Spirit is eternally proceeding from the Father. These relationships, while marking the distinctiveness of identity of each Person, do not in any way limit or lessen the complete and equal divinity of each…

    Religion

As Victor Hugo once said, “I am religiously opposed to religion” and I agree with him completely. Religion has been a part of our world for centuries but not everyone has to believe in the same thing or even have a religion of any kind, it is all a choice and a right that we are granted. When I was younger my parents decided that I could believe in anything I wanted to when I grew up and that they weren’t going to push a specific religion on me with explicit beliefs and rules. The thought of being able to pick my own religion delighted me, I was extremely excited but I wanted to choose my religion carefully. We I found out that there were about 21 major religions in the world let alone minor religions and different branches of them in addition to that. I had a plan though; I was going to learn as much as I could about the major religions, find one I felt strongly about and then practice it. Sounds easy enough right? Well, I had no idea that I set my goals a little higher than I could reach. When I gained knowledge of these religions I found that they were all so similar with their belief systems and their rules, but I didn’t seem to be able to connect to any of them. Later, I established a theory that having a religion seemed to cause more harm than not having one at all. In my opinion the earth world would be better without religion, not just certain religions such as Judaism, Catholicism, or even Buddhism but religions as a whole. I am not insensitive to other people’s beliefs and religious views, nonetheless I feel having religion causes more harm in the world than it does good.…
