My Perfect woman

Long walks on the beach, cooking, cleaning, and total respect! Are these what marriage is really all about? No, but they sound good to me! Marriage for me is when two people love and care about each other and want to devote their life to each other. Whatever they do and how they do that are up to the two that are in love. One couple might have someone in the relationship that is gone all the time and only sees each other a couple days. While another couple might never leave each other’s side. There is no clean cut definition; it changes for who you are and how ever you see it. When looking to find a potential wife or girlfriend, there are many things that go through ones head when thinking is she right for me? It is as if we have a list in our head, and we can see exactly what we want our woman to look like. Men’s interest in women goes as of the following, is she hot, does she have money or will she use me, than lastly her personality. It might not make much sense of why, but many believe it is to show off their prize or what they won. For example, my dream wife goes like this. She will be a hot, amazing, a 26 year old from Florida. With her long, brown, hair, more soft then can be possible. She will be the ever so simple 5’ 7” and 125 pounds. Her skin, so smooth, I imagine keithstone will be jealous. A fine pair of legs, the same saying I say at the horse tracks. Then, of course, what else do guys talk about when they are bored with their friends, the T N A. Tits so nice and no problems, it’s kind of like cars, the bigger the better. They also can’t age with time. Most of the time when men complain it is about one aspect or another. My girl will be flawless, and look just like Barbie. Basically the simpler the better, guys don’t like to over think, remember, we are able to get confused easily. I plan we will get married when I am 28, and even though we will just be starting our life, there are things she must

One theory is ‘The Matching Hypothesis’ which is a social psychological theory based on relationships, proposed by Goffman in 1952. It suggests that in order for a relationship to be a long and successful one; both partners in the relationship must be equally matched in attractiveness. The reason for this is due to fear of rejection, therefore when searching for a potential life partner the primary drive is to select someone who is similarly attractive.…

To live in today’s society you really have to be an open-minded individual. Open-minded means that the person is tolerant of divergent views and sensitive to the possibility of his or her own possible biases; they respect the rights of others to have different opinions (Facione, 2011). When I was younger I always pictured myself dating guys that were tall, muscular, blonde, blue eyes, and dumb. That is so I could be the smart one in the relationship. In high school I dated one or two guys that fit this description and I thought all my hopes and dreams were coming true. I was going to marry my “prince.” However, as I got older I realized that there was more out there than just my perfect guy. How could someone live thru life being so close-minded? Once I realized the problem was my biases towards men, I changed the way I looked at things. Now I am engaged to the best man I could ever ask for and there is a chance I might have missed out on this opportunity just because I had not been open-minded. Asking…

Marriage over the centuries has evolved from culture to culture, land to land, but for the most part, the main roots of marriage have never changed. No matter what race, religion, or sex, marriage must have a stable foundation in order to last. What defines a successful lasting marriage? Is it love? Love is such a powerful word and can be viewed in so many ways and is usually defined by actions and/or emotions. Love can be viewed as the ultimate component of a successful marriage, but because of the inconsistent definitions and cloudy interpretations, it must be further defined and broken down into components. Though there are many components and is debatable which work and which do not, what are some that one should have to invest in to achieve such an endeavor? By reading along further, there will be a…

Men look for partners who are physically attractive and women are more interested in resources a partner could provide. This may be due to a male selecting a woman who is healthier and therefore more fertile, the healthier the woman the more attractive she seems. While women seek signs of fertility and heath in a partner they are more concerned about resources, for example wealth, intelligence and strength. Women therefor seek to enhance their looks and men advertise their status. This is confirmed by Waynforth and Dunbar who used ads to assess what men and women seek and advertise. They found that 44% of men seek a physically attractive partner compared to 22% of…

In history, various theories were proposed; Freud proposed that humans seek for the characteristics of their opposite-sex partner, Winch proposed that humans’ are in the pursuit of complimentary, that they want their partners to have the characteristics they don’t have and many others offered theories in contrast with Winch, that humans’ want to have partners that have similar characteristics with them. Some of these theories had supports, some were nearly disproved but these theories all offered explanations that have a common point; that the purpose is to find someone who matches a criterion. However, they were all lacking the reason that comes in the first place, the source of the motivation that shapes humans’ mating preferences and strategies (Buss & Schmitt, 1993). In order to explain this, so many theories and predictions can be made, but the most ostensible ones are the short-term, long-term approaches and the differences between women and men’s mating preferences and strategies.…
