I am a student at Clovis Community College. I am a disabled student in a wheelchair and I am in my fifties, so it is at times a challenging experience. Even though, it is challenging being away from my family to obtain my college education, but I love it anyway. I transferred to Clovis Community College from Merced College in Merced, California. This will be my second full semester at Clovis. I will be transferring to Fresno State after the Fall 2017 semester.

This being said, I felt it was important to tell you about an experience I had here at Clovis. Last semester, I had Math 11 with Professor Yang. During the semester, I heard that students were complaining to the Dean of Students, about Professor Yang. Now, I do not know about

El Camino maybe one of many community colleges in the South Bay Area but what defines it is it's somewhat professional air around it. El Camino maybe a community college but it has the same feeling as though you are in a four-year. I wouldn't be surprised by the time that I am a full grown adult that El Camino will be known as a CSU because it's still building to accommodate new buildings just like any other four year university and and I believe that people are starting to notice all the opportunities that will come with attending El Camino. The most recent example which shows how highly recommended El Camino is was when I was going to Dominguez Hills to ask what would better my chance to to attend their school and the admissions Office lady…

In 1984 a case before the Supreme Court limited the scope of Title IX (King, n.d.). Grove City College (GCC), in Grove City, Pennsylvania, took pride in being a private, coeducational liberal arts school that refused state and federal financial assistance (Ware, 2007). This gave them independence from federal regulation (Ware, 2007). GCC did have a large number of students that received Basic Educational Opportunity Grants (BEOG’s) issued through a Department of Education (DOE)-run program (Grove City, n.d). The DOE concluded these grants made GCC subject to Title IX (Grove City, n.d). When GCC refused to comply with the requirements of Title IX, the DOE attempted to terminate the student financial aid program (Grove City, n.d). GCC challenged the DOE’s actions all the way to the Supreme…

My first few weeks of classes at UW-Platteville have surprisingly been fun and brought many opportunities of clubs I did not think I would join. When I imagined going to college for the first time, I thought I would cry and be homesick. To not be homesick I told myself to be involved with the Welcome Weekend activities and it worked! My classes were intimidating on the first day, but now that we have had many classes I am comfortable. I am using my time management skills everyday because I have many meetings to attend. Overall, I am glad I choose to continue my education at UW-Platteville because it feels like home.…

However after entering college, everything changed. I knew everything was going to be more difficult and demanding. Beyond all the hardships of academics, I was also going to have to pay for all of education by myself, because my parents could not afford it. This adversity made it extremely difficult for me to decide if I wanted to continue my education and enter college. However, despite my finical struggle I decide to continue my education and apply for college. I applied to Rockland Community College, where I wanted to work on increasing my GPA.…

Suppose you are the network manager for Central University, a medium-size university with 13,000 students. The university has 10 separate colleges (e.g., business, arts, journalism), 3 of which are relatively large (300 faculty and staff members, 2,000 students, and 3 buildings) and 7 of which are relatively small (200 faculty and staff, 1,000 students, and 1 building). In addition, there are another 2,000 staff members who work in various administration departments (e.g., library, maintenance, finance) spread over another 10 buildings. The single most impactful experience in my life is attending Ventura Community College. Nothing has hurt me more. In high school I had taken AP and IB classes and had finished within the top ten percent of my class but I had no idea what I wanted to do. I applied to some schools that I considered to be mediocre so that I could continue swimming, but as the application deadlines ended and most of my friends were being accepted to places such as UCLA, UCSB, and even Harvard, I had realized that I wanted a greater challenge and possibly a greater reward. It was too late, I was going to community college.…
