My Brother Sam Is Dead William Heron Character Analysis
The character of Mr. Heron was based off of a real person, William Heron. William Heron was a real person that was part of this time. He was a double agent pretending to support both sides, but was truly there to support the Patriots. Sure we know that now, but how did we figure this out for sure? The authors of My Brother Sam is Dead weren’t as clear as they could’ve been. William Heron was truly part of the Patriot’s side but the Loyalists didn’t didn’t have a clue on that. He would give the Loyalists old information that wasn’t helpful, even Major Oliver de Lancey said that the information was useless. He pretended to give them information so that he could get information to tell the Patriots out of it. He would then go over to the Patriots
