Mrs. Hendris Case Study

Mrs. Hendris is 65-year-old widow. She was interviewed inside of my office she was accompanied alone. Mrs. Hendris was well- dressed for a woman of her age, in which it appeared she has always dressed this way. She is a retired nurse of 25 years during her time here she enjoyed being able to help others during their time of illness. She stated to me that she has one son who is married and has children. Mrs. Hendris appeared to be in good health because of her grandchildren who seem to keep her going and active.
Psychological Assessment:
Mrs. Hendris stated several times that she is looking for an assistant living faculty that will allow her to be independent. She explains that she is capable of feeding and bathing herself, getting herself dressed, and getting around. Mrs. Hendris stated that her son and his wife takes care of her when it comes to making sure that she has her medicine at a certain time and that a meal is always prepared, even though she is capable of cooking for herself. She explains that, “They still fear that she may burn or injure herself with the lifting and stirring of the food”. Mrs. Hendris also stated that she enjoys the company of her grandchildren because they teach her new things about life every day.
Social Assessment
Mrs. Hendris stated that she would love to find assistant living faculty that will allow her to have a roommate because she enjoys the company of others. also, she stated that she will enjoy a living faculty that will allow her to interact with other residence, so that she will be able to make friends. She explains that she is looking for a home that will respect her and treat her in a way that residences are suppose to be treated.
