In the previous of movie of Despicable Me, it talks about the brief concept that everbody has good inside them and no matter how twisted and evil one can get, there will always be that something that can make a person’s heart soft. This was easily portrayed in when the protagonist ( Gru ) met the three orphan kids ( Margo, Edith and Agnes ) and how they literally changed his life.
In the sequel Despicable Me 2, the Gru’s story continues but due to the marketing of this movie, somehow the minions became a main character in the movie unlike in the first movie where they were only just assistant’s to Gru’s evil plots. The movie mostly rotated in the minions because let’s face the fact that they are extremely adorable. It talks about some serum that when inserted in any living specimen can turn them “evil”. If we summarize the movie it’s mostly about some evil dude named “ El Macho” capturing Gru’s irresistible minions and turning them evil for world domination but in the end Gru prevails and recover’s his minions and they live happily ever after. But if we look a little closer, we can see that this movie is more than just little yellow engineers wearing matching overalls. In the next paragraphs I will cite some parts of the movie in which we can gets lessons that we can apply in life.
First, one scene in the movie is the first time Gru and Lucy met. Gru shot his freeze ray at Lucy and mistaken her for just a common woman that you can see everyday on the street or the times that the minions saw an ice cream van which turned out to be a machine that abducted them. But after firing his freeze ray, Lucy counters with a flamethrower and the ice cream van just sucked all of the minions that were captivated by it. In this scene we can learn that not everything is what it seems. In today’s modern world, we can see many things that can easily deceive us. Never make the mistake of underestimating anyone because sooner or later you will pay for it like Gru did when he was hit with the lipstick tazer and the minions when they were abducted.
Second, is Gru’s flashback on how he was humiliated when he confessed his love for a cute girl back in his childhood days. Unrequited Love, now that is a topic that everyone can relate to. Sometimes in life there is that someone we desperately like but know that we can never have and mostly the reason is because they are way out of our league. But if we wait long enough we will find love and meet that person that can make everything right. Look at Gru, he never wasted any of this time dating but when the time came he met Lucy that loved him for who he is. The lesson is never settle for anyone you know is not right for you and learn to accept the love you know you deserve because true love is always worth the wait.
Finally, that moment when Dr. Nefario betrayed his employer (El Macho) to help Gru. Since El Macho kidnapped Gru’s minions it was okay with him but when El Macho kidnapped Lucy it made Dr. Nefario pissed. He told Gru the truth and like he said “ Nobody messes with family “. This shows us the true value of the imporatance of the value of family that no matter what happens to us and how corrupted we can be, they will always be there to help us make things right again.
The movie Despicable Me 2 is a movie appropriate for all ages because it can teach us many things we can never comprehend in books or in real life. There was a scene in the movie when Gru learned that Lucy was kidnapped he immediately came to her rescue. Here we can see the most important lesson anyone can learn and that we should apply in life, that we should never stop fighting for what we know is right.

Tom Cruise, who produced the "Mission Impossible" series with said that some years ago that it does for every part of the franchise wants a different director, who impresses the film has its own style. Brian De Palma made the first part of a styled Heist film, John Woo, it was exaggerated in part two with slow motion and physically impossible action and Lost creator JJ Abrams, a dirty, "handmade" but underrated action film. For the fourth part was the animation director Brad Bird ("The Iron Giant," "The Incredibles") and undertakes that forms the familiar elements of the series to a fast-paced high-tech thriller. The film is certainly not particularly deep, but one of the best action films of the year.…

I've always considered myself a chick flick or romantic comedy kind of girl. Last year, when there were no new movies out in which I was interested in, I decided to give Scott Pilgrim vs. the World a chance due to my obsession with Michael Cera, the main character. I was very hesitant at first, because the movie is based on a graphic novel, which obviously meant a lot of sci-fi and comic-con scenes that are, to say the least, not my top pick.…

"Remember the Titans" is a parable about racial harmony, yoked to the formula of a sports movie. Victories over racism and victories over opposing teams alternate so quickly that sometimes we're not sure if we're cheering for tolerance or touchdowns. Real life is never this simple, but then that's what the movies are for--to improve on life, and give it the illusion of form and purpose.…

This itself is simply representing the white dominance and portraying them as the people that should be in power. It seemed to me that humanity was seen as all white in this film, which obviously leads to the apes being seen as people of colour. The topic of apes ruling the world as well isn’t only Sci-Fi but relates to horror, as mentioned in the readings how these two genres are usually linked. I believe that these films were to provoke a sense of danger or fear of world dominance, whether by the apes or of white supremacy. This film to me almost seemed to be symbolic of the history of black slavery which also made it seem like a different form of racism in that…

I thought that The Hunger Games movie was overall an “ok” film with just the right amount of special affects and action sequences to complement a decent story. The director and producers stuck very close to the book as far as the story goes. This explains why the movie runs for over two hours. Although the events were very accurate, there were certain things that were not explained properly in the movie whichmovie, which changed its interpretation. One thing that bothered me was lack of explanation behind Katniss’s and Peeta’s relationship. I was fortunate enough have analyzed the book so I, or course, knew that the relationship started off as fake in the beginning and kindled into actuality. As a person watching the movie, you would think that Katniss simply fell in love with Peeta as time passed.…

There’s no way around it — the Despicable Me movies are rather fun, and no matter what reservations you have on the overload of Minions in pop culture, they’re hard to dislike as well. The third installment, Despicable Me 3 is precisely as fast paced, zany, ridiculous and often hilarious as the first two movies, if you’re in the mood for harmless entertainment you can’t go wrong with this one.…
