Monique: The Most Significant Role Model In My Life
To be truly great, a person must be able to strive for their dreams, despite adversity, and be willing to do everything in their power to triumph during uncomfortable or arduous periods of time. My sister, the most significant role model in my life, is known as Monique the Great. She authentically embodies the characteristics that I believe make a person great. She exudes greatness in her desire to follow her dreams of being a psychologist and fashion designer, by doing and prospering in things that the majority would not, and by venturing to do activities that most people would consider unconventional.
Monique is great because she chose to follow her dreams regardless of the fact that it had been perceived as impractical. She was told by a

A new role model I have now in my life is a sister named Dorothy Stang. Dorothy was someone who wanted to make a change in the world and was willing to help anyone she met. Dorothy left her life in Ohio where she could get plenty of anything and she then went to a life where she met people who were struggling to survive by their survival farming. All of those people there had troubles getting what we sometimes take advantage of here. She left the United States and went to Brazil to continue on God’s mission and assisting others. Her strength, faith in God and her selflessness are three of the qualities that she portrays that I admire the most. Dorothy gives such a great example of Christ in the world. She brought the joy of God to so many people in the rainforest.…

My Grandfather, George Washington, and Mark Messier are all outstanding leaders. They all put others before themselves and looked at the greater picture in all cases. They all knew that for the life they wanted they would have to work with others and sometimes do things they did not want to do. In addition to this, all these people worked hard, and that is a major quality in being a great leader. Sitting back and relaxing, was not going to be enough. They had to bust their butts to get where they are and be the people they wanted to be. If my grandfather did not work as hard as he did, he would still be living in a little shack, where the bathroom was actually in the kitchen. If George Washington did work like he did, this country wouldn’t be where it is today, and if Mark Messier did not work in practices and games, his skill would have needed got where it need to be. Lastly, these three people all led by example. They did and showed what had to be done, so their followers would want to be just like them. There are so many other words that could be used to describe these people for example, inspiring, honest, confident, committed, and creative, but hardworking, leading by example and putting others in front of themselves, stood out to me as great ones, that each of these people highlighted traits…

One that stands out to me is my mom. She could do things that she is comfortable and convenient like not go to school or not get a job. She could do things that make it the best for her. She could go hang out with friends, but she doesn't. She does this she isn't comfortable with all the time and certainly isn't the most convenient for her. She goes to school and she has a job. She takes care of me, my sister, my step brother and even my brother’s friend. She stands out from anyone else that i know, she is my role model and she fits “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” perfectly. She is my wonder…

My brother, Sam Biggart, is my biggest inspiration and role model. What makes him so amazing is that he hasn’t had the easiest life and has lost a lot of people, but he continues to live his life and doesn’t care what others think. He has showed me to have a big heart and to also help those in need. Something that I really look up to him for is that he will always put others needs before his own, and will always be there to make others laugh.…

Being “great” like many other adjectives used to describe an individual is a subjective term. That means that great for one individual might not be great for another. This is similar to how successful for me would be to take care of my mother and father, while success for another would be to make a six figure salary a year. For me, being “great” is doing just that little bit more that separates you from the competition. A quote that I am reminded of is by Art Williams that says “The difference between average and ordinary is so small that it’s scary”. I wholeheartedly believe that he is write in saying this. A person can be successful at 99% of the things that they do in their lives and still not be great. However,…
