Preparing youth for employment and citizenship, preparing offenders to successfully transition into communities, providing quality health care and promoting healthy lifestyles, providing greater opportunity for citizens globally through economic and social development and investing in communities are all mission statements from the Management and Training Corporation Company (MTC). After going through so many mission statements of different companies, I found out that the MTC is somehow different from the others. One of the differences is that it has more than one mission statements but it is reflecting it.
According to the Web site of the MTC which was founded 27 years ago since 1987 has made a social impact by giving thousands of offenders an opportunity to change their lives. MTC’s philosophy in Corrections is rehabilitation through education—that’s why they provided offenders with numerous educational, vocational, substance abuse, faith based, and life-skills programs from GED and adult basic education to anger management and moral reconation
Their combined knowledge, experience, and leadership results in well operated correctional facilities dedicated to improving offenders' lives and reducing recidivism. Their excellent leadership, both at the corporate office and at the facilities, allowed the MTC to successfully take over operation of three Mississippi facilities within 60 days.
