Mma Benefits
Everyone has their own favorite sport, and mine is MMA. I like how it helps with physical endurance to bring your stamina up, strengthens your bones, and helping your body withstand more pain. Also MMA teaches you self defense, from people attacking in any form of assault. This knowledge comes from all the training, which helps you perfect the martial art, learn new martial arts and helps your muscle memorize its training. I admire how it brings cultures together by worldwide tournaments and the mixture of national martial arts. MMA also can help you with your reflexes. I have known mixed martial arts for four years now it benefits me by keeping me busy and motivated. I like to spar with friends who are more challenging. Martial art isn’t

The reason I like it so much is that, as a small boy, I was introduced to the delights of a relatively physical activity that would both keep me fit, and provide an outlet for enjoyment, together with the opportunity to increase my skill and muscular dexterity. It would also help me to develop a reasonable well built and healthy body, and involve me in being part of a team which instils a sense of belonging.…

    Mma Sub Culture

My subculture of Mixed Martial Arts ( MMA ) started about 4 years ago, while I was in 8th grade. I need a sport, but I wanted a sport different from what everyone else was doing. So I decided to give MMA a try, and I was instantly hooked after my first day of class. I train a out of the Armory Training Center in Jupiter, Florida. My subculture has personally grown for me because I have taken many more classes from the initial Brazilian Ju-Jitsu class. I have moved on to things such as Kempo, Mau-tai, etc. Another main reason for choosing this sport was the fact I needed some self-defense techniques, and to boost my self confidence. As a pre-teen my self confidence level was very low, I would be such a quiet kid, not knowing how to be my self with a group of friends. Ever since I started MMA my self confidence level has gone through the roof, and I can do anything.…

From not knowing how to spar properly, sparring has become my favorite part of the sport now. From not being able to remember a 30 second form, I am now able to simultaneously learn four forms at the same time, and do them with the proper techniques. From not being able to do a jumping back kick, now I can do many combinations of advanced kicks. But besides learning these taekwondo skills, this sport has many physical, mental, and spiritual advantages as…

    Mma vs. Boxing

As I said previously, I have grown up watching both sports. From the first time I watched mixed martial arts I was hooked. That’s not to say that the sport has not changed. From that first fight in 1993 to the last pay-per-view I watched last week, the sport has changed dramatically. This is due in most part to the people running the largest mixed martial arts association the ultimate fighting championship or UFC for short. The UFC is owned by Zuffa LLC, which is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. The president and head of Zuffa is Dana White. He and his partners bought the UFC in 2001 and dedicated themselves to improving and cleaning up the sport as well as bringing it to the masses.…

One thing that I have learned from wrestling is self-confidence. It is just me out there against my opponent and no one to help me. So I learned to believe in myself because I would accomplish things that I didn't think I could do. Last year I was wrestling a kid from Capital who won state the year before I was nervous to wrestle him. Well it was a close match and I was down by one point with only a few seconds left on the clock. But I finally just took my chance and hit a sweet double leg takedown to win the match. Wrestling has showed me that you are responsible for your own success. It has also taught me to take my shot no matter what. It doesn't matter the outcome whether it is winning or losing if I knew I put my all into what I just did. Then I would be proud and not hang my head and pout.…

“In its December 6, 2006 profile on Ultimate Fighting, USA Today writer Marco della Cava states, ‘Football and baseball may be American pastimes, but for a high-tech generation weaned on immediacy, such sporadic action doesn 't compare with UFC 's short and definitive flurries of violence’" (“Dallas-Based Fight Company Enters the Cage”).…

I love being athletic because it helps me in future activities that I would be ready for. Being athletic is good for scholarships to colleges to where you don’t have to pay for college tuition and worry about student loans that you would have to pay back later after college and be trying to get a whole lot of different jobs trying to pay them back. Athleticism helps losing weight and helps you to start eating more healthier foods being more selective of what you put into your body everyday. Having an Athleticism characteristic is good for when you are older and want to enter into events such as: The Iron Man, Tour de France, World's Strongest Man, American Warrior. We, ZENDOKAI don't think MMA as a simple mixture of lots of martial arts. We consider it the most natural style of martial arts that should essentially be. That means that MMA, Mixed Martial Arts is not “Mixed” martial arts, but rather one fundamental art of fighting. To acquire the art, we regard our KIHON and IDO KEIKO, Breathing techniques, and Streching exercises as the important trainings. These trainings help you build up your body balance. The good body balance is an essential point when you shift your weight back and forth and around. The base of these trainings is the mindfulness of your body’s center of gravity, which is the basis to strengthen the power of the techniques you deliver. Without this base, even if you gathered up miscellaneous skills, you wouldn't master them except only a few people who have the inherent ability in sports or the talented excellent reflexes.…
