MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM IN HUMAN RESOURCE
INTRODUCTION:
With changing times the role of Management Information System(MIS) has increased in all domains of business whether its Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, Operations, etc. MIS primarily serves the functions of controlling and decision making at the managerial level. MIS has three basic levels: operational, middle management and top management wherein the information is passed from bottom to top and vice- versa for better facilitation.

MIS in Human resource in particular deals with day to day activities like:
Personal Application Form
Salary Agreement
Recording of Sources of recruitment
Attendance and Leave records
Payroll Calculations
Performance Record
Performance Appraisal
Recruitment
Analytics, etc.
With these functions the role of MIS has grown considerably. Rather than providing support just for administrative work it has started contributing towards strategic roles. The strategies not only add value to the organization but also change the competencies that define the success of an IT member. This technological advancement is driven by demand from human resource as they understand that speed, effectiveness and cost containment
