1. What is a business ecosystem? Do all businesses function within an ecosystem? Why or why not?

A business ecosystem is a network of customers, suppliers, distributors involved in the

process of the delivery of a product or service. Ecosystem is a service that helps business learn

how to strive in the forever changing and evolving environment that we live in today. With the way

technology changes, businesses have to know how to keep up and evolve as well. Things could

In high demand one day and then not so much the next day. Businesses that uses this

ecosystem use their competitors and work together to see how they can help

each other to survive during hard times. Depending on your company and how they chose to run

their business demands on if your company are using this ecosystem or not, some companies

chose not to work with their rivals and chose not to do business through this system. Smart

companies understands that things can change very fast, the way technology is

changing businesses have to know how to keep up and that is what this system is for.

This system is in place so that businesses can work together and make money and grow, it

2. What potential role does the ecosystem play in Wal-Mart’s innovation efforts? Provide examples.

The ecosystem plays a big part into the way Wal-mart runs and operates, this company

has change the way others look at this system and shows them the benefits that can come from

this process if it is used. This company has used this system and has done well for themselves in

the process. They have even come up with their own system to help them to continue to grow
