Mexican Earthquake Research Paper
My life did a complete 180 switch after I survived the devastating earthquake of 2010 in Haiti. It was never easy before as the economy was really poor and life was dull but compared to what I had to live with after I started to realise it was a privileged life.

It was a beautiful day , I was looking crispy and getting ready to go school and the day went by so fast , we had a lot of homeworks and things to study for tomorrow . My sister was with me before the incident and helping me with my homeworks. My mom was upstairs talking to an old friend .I went to get some water and out of nowhere the earth started shaking and everything was collapsing right in front my eyes and I saw a lot of people crying of help. Luckily for us nothing happened to my family and everything was okay with our house, but when I went outside I saw a lot people dead and injured. It was a tragedy and will stay in my life forever. I was kinda sad that I was leaving friends and families behind but my parents told me that I could have more opportunities in Life and to become successful.
At that moment in my life my mindset was completely changed. I was a better student and person. It was really hard for us at the beginning as we had to learn a new language and to adapt to New York cold weather. I went to P.S. 189 which was a bilingual school and my first day there was exactly what I expected, it was a charm and welcoming school, and many other students were in the same situation as me.
