Hello, Christina It is very nice to meet you! I think it’s great that you are going to major in social work and nursing once you transfer to a four-year university. I think the world can never have to many social workers or nurses because both fields are constantly growing by the day. I hope that your dreams of becoming an international pediatrics case manager in medicine become a reality for you! I find it great that you are going into the medical field because I am also going into the medical field except I want to work with animals and people so I am working my way through school so that I can become a veterinarian. My greatest fear is time management. Time management is very important in any area of life as success and failures are built upon it. It is a big responsibility to juggle school, work and family all at the same time. Working five days a week, two different hospitals, twelve-thirteen hour shifts in high stress intensive care environment, then try to find quality time to spend with family and fulfill your responsibility as a parent puts you in a high stress mode environment. As a parent you do not want to ignore your responsibilities. Since I have been residing in the states I learned that you can not manage time, you manage the events in your life in relation to time. . And how you use that time depends on your skills you learned throughout self analysis, self planning, self evaluation and self control. First I will start by explaining to you what an Aortic Aneurysms is. An aortic aneurysm is a weak spot in the wall of the aorta, the primary artery that carries blood from the heart to the head and other extremities. I most cases people with aortic aneurysms in the chest area do not experience symptoms, but can have symptoms if the aneurysm gets bigger or causes pressure on the surrounding organs. You need to explain that she needs to really pay attention to the most common symptoms which are chest pain, back pain, difficulty swallowing, and shortness of breath. Treatment can vary with each patient depending on if the doctor feels you need surgery or not, if you will be able to withstand a major surgery, and if the surgery can be avoided for at least the present time. The treatments that are known for best ways of treating aortic aneurysm are medication such as a beta-blocker. Small aneurysms lest than 5.5 cm that are not at risk of rupturing are generally treated with medicine that is used to treat high blood pressure, but when the aneurysm gets above 5.5 cm to 6.0 cm in size the doctor will most likely recommend surgery. And one that is most important form of treatment for aortic aneurysm is to quit smoking cigarettes if you smoke them.
