We are very glad to see you here and appreciate that you took the time and effort to join us. My name is Shiau Juan. Yi Wen: Im Yi Wen, It is our honor to be invited as a host in this event at this hall ! Wilfrid: Yeah same here, Im Wilfrid , It is a great pleasure for us to be here today. Wai Mun: And im Wai Mun, we are the Year 1 Sem 1 student of Bachelor of Communication (Hons) Public Relations in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), and will be your MCs for this ceremony. The ceremony will be starting shortly. We would appreciate it if you can kindly switch your mobile phones to silent mode. Thank you for your cooperation. Wilfrid: And now, let rise up and put our hands together to welcome the arriving of our guests of honor . First of all, let us invite our President of UTAR, Yang Berbahagia Ir. Prof. Academician Dato’ Dr. Chuah Hean Teik follow by our main sponsor for our campaign, owner of “The Voice” karaoke centre, Mr Yew Jiong Jun . Next, let us invite our Dean for Faculty Arts and Social Science, Dr. Cheah Phaik Kin follow by chairperson of Centre of Applied Psychology, Dr Tan Chee Seng and our President of UTAR Community Counselling Centre (UCCC), Ms Low Swee Kim. Last but not least, let us invite and the Head of Department for Public Relations Course, Mr. Ng Eng Kiat and the project director of our campaign, Ms Ng Qin Xian Welcome all of our guest of honor, please be seated. We would like to express our gratitude to the presence of all the special guests, press and the audience who make this event possible. Shiau Juan: The theme of this campaign is “Depression”, tagline is “Colourize Life” it is organized by our UTAR’s PR students, Thus the objectives of organizing this campaign to create awareness about the issue of depression to the public and making efforts to make the victims life better. Besides, we hope that through this campaign to raise fund for UCCC and also gain publicity for the centre. Yi Wen: Today the aim of having this event is to introduce you the UTAR Community Counseling Centre (UCCC). UCCC was launched in October 2013 by the Centre of Applied Psychology, under UTAR Faculty of Art & Social Science. Wai Mun: UCCC is a non-profit organization with the vision of building a healthy society. UCCC believes that everyone has the capacity and potential to live life to their fullest by continuous growth and learning in life and keep changing. Shiau Juan: It is a community-based centre that provides various psychological services that include counselling assessment. The mission of UCCC is to create a friendly, harmonious and psychological health society, to instil positive attitudes and values in society and to search for the real meaning in life and find one’s true self. Wilfrid: UCCC offers many services such as individual counselling, family counselling, befriending through the phone, motivational talks, workshops, seminars and so on. Wai Mun: At the same time, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our VIP guests and sponsor. Without you all, we would not have this successful campaign.
