Mass shootings are usually taken place in busy, large, public areas e.g. a school or shopping centre
Single murders by shooting are more likely to occur in private places such as a house, alley ways, car parks or the woods
At the scene you would find police officers, CSI unit, a medical examiner and detectives
The area would be secured and any objects should not be moved relevant to the crime
Shooting crime scenes are usually very messy as there will be a lot of blood from the murders. (blood splatters, bullet holes etc)
Photos need to be taken before anything is touched it moved
Sometimes the gun that is used is found on the scene or nearby
Shooting crime scenes usually attract news reporters and crews
