The MARKETING Function

Upon analyzing BAC Print company’s marketing functions, the analysts discovered that although some of its aspect had help to keep the company going, there are still a lot of fixing, scrutinizing and restrategizing needed in order for the company to gain stability in the long run. Target Market. The company primarily focuses on serving the printing needs of the plastic making companies. This, therefore, means that the company’s target market is those plastic makers who hire them as a contractual printing company. They make use of contracts to gain a continues transaction with those plastic makers but upon expiration of such deal, the company

Just like what was mentioned in the product section, the company was able to deliver a better quality than the competitors but such advantage can be overrun by the other players with the improvements of their machines. Thus, this further proves that it can be a weakness as well as a threat to the company. Alongside this is their condition that the minimum printing order must be five thousand units for them to accept the deal and start their production. Place. Since BAC Print is a manufacturing type of business, their location was not much of focus. Despite that, they are still considered to be quite accessible by walk in clients who wishes to make deals with them. They are also quite accessible to their contractualizing companies who give them contract offers as well as deliver the bottles they needed for production. Price. BAC Print Company is no different with the other printing companies. They offer the same range of prices to their clients. Although there was an increase in their ink prices, they still maintain their selling price range that they had offer to their customers to retain the good relationship. With that, the only way for them to gain more profit is to gain more customers and to sell more volume per …show more content…
As mentioned, the BAC Print Company does not do marketing. They rely on their past dealers for sales. They do not make use of websites and social medias to gain more clients. This means that they do not have facebook account and any other accounts that could help them to be recognized and to get in touch with new customers. They also do not do advertising. Therefore, as far as the company is concerned, there are only a few who knew about its existence but now it is close to none since some of those few loyal customers have been snatched away by their

The Fineprint Company faced two major internal issues. First is the fact that it is operating its production facility at near capacity. This leaves little room for new jobs and threatens to increase the fixed cost associated with the capacity. Second, FPC is relying heavily on temporary labor to meet volume changes in production. With the use of temporary workers comes the burden of fluctuating labor costs through wage changes and constant training. FPC also has external issues of SmallPrint affecting it in a positive way. When SPS lost its largest customer, it opened up opportunity for FinePrint to use its idle capacity. SPS’s limited exposure as an elaborate printing house and its willingness to work for cheap allows FPC the upper hand in negotiations on price of possible venture.…

The challenge facing Xerox and its management is complex, challenging and probably not unique. The company had been dependent on its highly trained sales force to turn a profit on their existing products and had not focused on new product opportunities until the development of its "Book In Time" product. This revolutionary product presented some new opportunities for the company. One of the significant advantages this product yielded was its costs. The Book-in-Time equipment allows for a publishing company to produce a 300-page book for $7, something which could have been previously reached only for lots larger than 1,000 copies. A significant decrease in publishing costs, given the fact that these cover up to 20 % (including the paper and binding the book), would create the possibility of an increased profit margin.…
