Hello and welcome back to totally real news cast, I'm Brianna Reiling telling you a story about a girl named Margot and her classmates who are experiencing the sun after seven years of devastation. Margot and her classmates live on Venus where there is rain daily besides the exception of the sun coming out every seven years. Today is the seven year mark and people all over Venus are waiting for the sun and its few minutes of glory. Oh it seems the sun is out right now! let's hop to our crew outside to see what's happening…. Well it seems they are out playing in the sun and not doing their job, they say can't see Margot Playing with her classmates I hope she doesn't miss the sun.     Early yesterday morning, I saw that Cecilia Kang at the Washington Post had a story up about the years-long fight for white spaces entitled: Tech, telecom giants take sides as FCC proposes large public WiFi networks. It struck me as odd, because so much in the article seemed... wrong or misleading. The main part about efforts to finally do something with the old TV spectrum isn't anything new at all. We first wrote about the FCC "proposing" this back in 2004 and have covered it a few times since. The FCC has been trying to use some of that TV spectrum for better, more efficient and more useful endeavors. It's been an ongoing battle that feels like it's never going to end. The short version is that TV broadcasters got a ton of free spectrum many years ago (just look at how giant chunks of the spectrum chart belong to TV broadcasters). A big part of the move to digital TV was to force broadcasters to give up a chunk of wasted, valuable spectrum that can be turned into (among other things) some useful wireless services.     Through inspiration from Giorgiones’ Sleeping Venus, Titian a younger contemporary, developed the standard for the female nude, in his Venus of Urbino. Unlike his predecessor, Giorgione, Titian’s painting is one of the first indoor nudes in the renaissance era. The painting portrays a reclining nude in oil, her body softly rounded is unapologetically sensual and her attributes are painted as a commoner instead of a goddess. The compositional aspects of the painting must be noted as well. Venus’ hand and genitals are placed in the immediate center of the painting, as though she is toying with herself, the sensually explicit painting also displays Venus frankly staring directly at the viewer almost seductively. A dog is placed near her feet; some argue that the dog is a symbol of loyalty. The intention of Titian in his Venus of Urbino is a much-debated topic, whether or not the painting is an allegory for lust or a symbol of faithfulness in marital love is undecided.     Venus and Cupid by Lorenzo Lotto is definitely one of the most unusual paintings when viewed through 21st century eyes. The painting depicts Venus lying on her left side, naked, and Cupid standing about a foot behind her.
