Manifest Destiny

Destiny When we hear the word Destiny there are lots of ideas that come to our mind. We sometimes define it through our personal experiences or through our beliefs. Sometimes we can say that it is really hard to understand because in every perspective, destiny is defined in different ways. These areas include spiritual, political and personal perspective. In spiritual perspective, the idea of destiny mostly focuses on spiritual and Godly approach while in political perspective destiny is seen as a way of aiming something. Destiny in personal perspective has many meanings because in here, different ideas from different people are involved. They based its meaning on how they interpret it. In spiritual perspective, one definition of destiny is that destiny is a result of one’s own decision. There is this unwavering conviction that every person living today has a real purpose in life, and a unique destiny to fulfill. It directs people to take charge of their future, in a practical, down-to-earth approach that is realistic, and not beyond anyone's reach. Everyone wants to be self-reliant, and enjoy a rewarding life filled with the happiness that comes from knowing your accomplishments which are part of your destiny, not just random chaos. This is the only true happiness that really sticks with you throughout life (Aderson, 2003). Most of us never get beyond working, spending, recreating, and dying. Hardly anyone today finds the true Destiny they were meant to fulfill. An example of willful action: Suppose there is a person who is drunk and has a badly maintained car. He decides to drive his car in a drunken state down a steep mountain side and he does so at high speed. If he were to at some point skid off the road down the mountain side, whose fault would it be? Would that be an accident caused by destiny or an accident caused by willful action? Well, it is willful action as he could have chosen not to drink and drive. He could have ensured that his car was
