MDA Graduation Report
With the date of my graduation steadily approaching it gives me the opportunity to really look back on all of my achievements throughout high school. There are so many I’m proud of. Starting my freshman year I began strong. I was a star student receiving nearly all A level grades in my courses. I was also an active member in Student Council and the arts. I was in the musical production of Cinderella and in Solo and Ensemble performance with my flute. Even at that young age I still understood the importance of giving back to the community and I volunteered my time at the Harley Davidson Fall Ride for the MDA. As I entered my Sophomore year I continued my strong passion for bettering myself and others. I was able to improve my academics by receiving …show more content…
I won the award for Best Junior Speaker from forensics that year as well. It was a challenge to balance it all, but I took on the challenge and I loved it. I still continue all of these activities my Senior year. During my Junior year I also was elected into the chair of Vice President of Student Council and I was accepted into the National Honor Society. I continued to give back to the community by volunteering for the Friends Program and mentoring an elementary school child. That was probably one of my favorite experiences, to be able to be such a large part of a child's life was immensely rewarding.I’m still a member to this day. As my Senior year is quickly coming to an end I have continued to keep up my involved life style being elected the President of Student Council. I am also still maintaining my high academics and balancing not only all the organizations I love, but also a part time job at the Tomahawk Cinema. While I’m looking back I’m also beginning to look forward as well. In my future I plan to attend St. Cloud State University in Minnesota to major in marketing with a minor in …show more content…
That is my utter dream. I know, however, that it will not come easy, and I am ready and willing for the challenge. As I’ve shown over my years in school, I don’t shy away from a challenge and pushing myself. It is that dedication that I feel makes me deserving of a scholarship from the Knight Owls Snowmobile group. Even though my parents do make enough money to live comfortably, they simply cannot pay for all of my schooling. They’re going to help as much as they can, but I’m going to have to come up with almost 10,000 a year on my own. I will be working hard for the rest of this year and into the beginning of college to try to save up as much as I can. However, without some scholarship help my dreams simply will not be able to come true. College is a great expense, and it simply can’t be done with just my parents help. With hard work, dedication, and a little help from scholarships, I know, however, that I can get myself through college and on to so many better things. You can be certain that with my education I will be making the world a better

There are several goals I have set for myself in college; I aspire to make the dean's-list in all the years I attend college, I anticipate participating in a minimum of two organizations which can get me more absorbed in the community, and finally, I want to become involved with the student body, and attend as many school sponsored events as I can. In my junior year, when I heard I made the honor roll at my high school, I was overcome with a feeling of fulfillment. This was the first time I had made the honor roll and with this achievement was a feeling of pride for the work I put in, and for the way the work reflected in my grades. But, I stayed hungry and kept working to maintain this honor, and I finished on the honor role for the entirety…

Another notable event was the start of my Eagle Scout Project. I built some furniture for the Jimmy Doolittle Center nearby. The project was a major success and the Center thanked me for my contribution. School started again, and I continue to enjoy the challenge it brings. This year, as a sophomore, I am likely to receive the Straight A’s award. I participate in the Jam, Philosophy, and Engineering club. I was just recently accepted into the leadership class, and I hope to transfer my leadership skills over from Scouts. At the start of this year my troop elected me to be the SPL. I have always had the dream of attending college to better my future and to also fulfill my mom's dreams for me to break free of our small town and make something of myself. Unfortunately, my family is not in a good financial position to help me pay for college, so I am on my own when it comes to supporting my college career. I know my mom wants to help me pay for college, but she is my family's main source of financial support and I have two younger siblings living in the house also, so I could not possibly ask her to help me pay for my expenses. My parents are not together anymore, so my mom pays for all my essentials, but I do have a summer job lifeguarding at the Butler Aquatic Center. I will have a job this fall to pay for my tuition, but I know that that source of income alone will not pay for all my expenses, so I would love to obtain as many scholarships as possible to prevent myself from having to get a ton of student loans. Receiving even the smallest scholarship would help me lessen some of the stress that I have at the moment. A scholarship would also benefit me because I will have the ability to show my mom that I can afford to chase my dreams and take away some of the feelings of sadness that she has for not being able to help me support me. I also want to be able to say that I did all of this on my own and show my family that I can be independent. I want to be able to feel the sense of satisfaction and pride that I supported my college career and I'm the one that created my success, not someone else. All I have ever wanted in life is to show my mom that she raised a strong, independent woman who grew up to succeed in life and went somewhere in life.…

Trip I am never going to forget and a great graduation gift, I am thankful for. Four years at an all male, private school well known in El Paso, Texas. Every day wearing uniforms ever since I was in elementary all the way to senior year in High school. Twice a month white button up shirts with a tie was mandatory due to the uniform I was tired of wearing the uniforms and needed a great trip. The class of 2008 planned a trip to Cancun, Mexico for ten days as a graduation party, which is important if you went because was the last time all of the class was going to be together. It was optional to attend the trip, those students who did not want to go didn’t have to. Once you step in Mexico everyone is on there own, your parents are not going to be there with you everything that happens, you are responsible for.…

I really enjoyed my eighth grade year here, and it is all thanks to this campus. I have learned to accept that we are all moving on to high school, which is just another stage in life. High school will be the same, it will just have a different name. I look forward to meeting new people and seeing new faces as we mature. In the future, i am going to look back on this part of my life. I will remember the fantastic help I have received from this campus. When I receive my college diploma in my hand, I will remember how I got there and be so grateful for that. I wish more people could feel the way I feel about this school. I feel very lucky, honored, and again, grateful. If anyone ever asks for suggestions on where to go to school, my first answer will be SCCA. My success will reflect on the school when people ask how I became that. I will be very proud to say that I once got to be around such an outstanding group of people in the first place. Once again, I give thanks to everyone who has helped me get to where I am today. I wonder what I will learn in the future, but for now, I will focus on the…

Seeking attention and praise is totally against my morals and I consider myself to be more of a humble type of person, however, one aspect that I wish would be more noticed is my unconditional dedication to my school and my community. I have spent countless hours trying to help my community become a better place by volunteering and it further humbled me because I got the chance to hear stories and talk to many different people throughout the process and many of which whom are veterans. My dedication to school is shown both academically and also through support of my fellow classmates and student athletes. One example of my dedication to school is through my 48 hours of college credits that I have been taking since the summer before my sophomore…

Graduation had to have been one of my biggest goals. I’ve had many throughout high school, but this would by far be my greatest accomplishment. I had overcome the whole high school episode. Graduation was something that had to be done and something I wanted to do. I have always known that I was capable of anything I put my mind to, and finishing school made that clear to me and everyone else. If finishing school could be done then, I knew I had other things that had to be done. Graduation taught me how to maintain a schedule, how to deal with lengthy school days, and make my family proud. This was just the beginning of the many things I had to overcome.…
