Today, we have a larger population of elders who don’t get the help that they need. Robot pets are developing to fix this issue. The positives of robotic pets far outweigh the negatives. However, some may say in the article “Love in the Time of Robots” that robotic pets are dissatisfactory because first, they create a false sense of love. Second, they create isolation. Finally, they may create a lack of responsibility. Despite these claims, ultimately, robotic pets are remarkable because they increase happiness, lower stress level, and help the elderly or lonely.
