This teaches me that if I work hard I can reap the benefits. Lilly also used her impressive work ethic to overcome her struggle with depression. Though Lilly initially wanted a YouTube channel as a means of expression to help her beat depression, she gained further inspiration once she realized that she could fill the void of representation of South Asian girls on the internet.
The battle of against depression is one that many teenagers worldwide struggle with today. To win this battle requires courage and optimism. I have learned from Lilly's example never to give up no matter how difficult the challenge. This ties into my hopes for winning the Bobby Bragan Youth Scholarship.
