CITY PROFILE
Kabupaten Boyolali, one of the cities in Central Java, has a spacious area (5.697.724 km2) and very beautiful landscapes, such as Mount Merapi and Merbabu as well as Kedung Ombo basin. Kabupaten Boyolali also has many tourism spots, like Kedung Kayang waterfall, Lawang temple, and many others, which can be visited by domestic and foreign tourists. According to Badan Pusat Statistik Kabupaten Boyolali in 2012, total numbers of the citizens in Boyolali are now 949.580. Kabupaten Boyolali has an optimistic vision that is, building the city with the powerful young generation since the numbers of young people is huge there, about 506.599 people. Because of the natural condition which most of the area consists of rice fields and husbandries, most people work as farmers and breeder. The natural condition also becomes one of the income’s sources in this area. The other income’s source is from the tourism spots which are located in Kabupaten Boyolali and surrounding.
