Insert relevant health and safety legislation
Give a brief summary of legislation in relation to your practice
I. As a childcare professional it is your responsibility to ensure all Health and Safety requirements (including legislation requirements) are met.*
II. You must make sure that your workplace is safe, and that you understand how to manage health and safety within your workplace
III. You must hold a valid paediatric first aid trained course
*Reference from pacey.org.uk having a fire evacuation procedure clearly marked out for all to see and ensuring all in the setting are aware of the procedure.
This includes doing regular risk assessments on the setting to ensure that all risks
Are dealt with i.e broken toys, frayed carpet ect..
Having the correct permission slips for medication, band aids ect.
Ensuring you have the right documentation for accidents and incidents to be recoded keeping up to date and having a certificate for first aiding, this included an up to date and regularly checked first aid box
