Led Parting Shots Analysis
led Parting Shots by Mike Smith at the Carroll Reece Museum was the most interesting to me. When I first entered the museum the receptionist gave me an overview of the exhibits they had on display. The Parting Shots exhibit caught my attention the most because the mentioned that all of his photographs had been taken within 30 miles of East Tennessee State University. His photographs were of things that the common student can relate to, especially if they grew up in this region. The content of his photographs was extremely interesting. For my visual analysis assignment I chose to go visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It has been an extremely long time since I last visited a museum. I took my twelve year old son with me to explore what the museum had to offer. We found the art to be very interesting, educational and unique. There were so many beautiful pieces throughout the museum that it was difficult trying to decide which one I wanted to base my visual analysis on.…

Kenny’s lifelong love for photography began when he first picked up his mother’s Kodak Instamatic camera. “I had never used one before,” Kenny said. Yet his curiosity turned into fascination with an eagerness to learn more. He studied the greats — Ansel Adams, Minor White, among others — but Kenny felt the most connected to White’s work. “[His influence] was really important,” Kenny said. “He did a lot of abstract stuff, and I saw the connection right away.”…

It was very unique and it really gave me a big idea of what the imaged talked about . He quoted” Photography to the amateur is recreation, to the professional it is work, and hard work too, no matter how pleasurable it may be”. He also quoted that Photography is the simplest thing in the world, but it is incredibly complicated to make it really work.” Edward Weston was one the most successful photographers and i was really moved by his images and he was really a great photographer and her really enjoyed it and it helped him to become famous and he really impressed a lot of people to be a good photographer. Weston was really into his work and he traveled to many places and experienced and met a lot of people and most of his works have been all over the world. I have learned a lot about Edward weston and will looked happy in what he did.Another quote he said was Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”That quote really made me feel in a certain way i hope other people will be inspired by his work and i hope they find his work really good and inspire them to do well and be successful in the field of…

I find myself drawn to different perspectives and ways of perceiving Earth and all of its inhabitants. When I walk along the woods, my eyes are instantly drawn to the illuminating glow of the leaves and the dancing shadows of the trees. My mind tends to reveal these instances of time on its own accord, surprising me throughout each passing moment as I think back and come across mental photographs my mind has conjured up. I will never cease to explore every passing moment for every moment expresses a new reality, a new dream, and a new hope of what is to come…
