    I can definitely relate to the information in “Teaching the Thesis” by Carroll, J. (2012). Every time I see the word thesis I don’t quite understand what it means. My basic understanding is that a thesis is a statement for which a paper is centered on, the main concept or the idea you are trying to get people to believe in. Which in general is what a thesis is but more specifically it is a position or proposition made by the author of a paper to provide clear direction to the reader as to what they are getting themselves into by reading this paper.
