Larger Vs Small Animal Essay
Page 105 Answers:

1) No, its because the volume of the from the heaviest object. Small animals wont be able to hold much since their legs are weaker and if the volume is big and heavy than they do not stand a chance. The only weay a smaller animal is albe to bear a larger weight in proportion to its size is if the volume is weak. If the volume is weak and lighter than the small animal can take it.

2) The way that the design is different in larger vs smaller animal in terms of surface/volume ratio is by the circumference. If you notice D, the legs ae smaller than the rest of them. Because of the circumference is smaller, the volume will also be less since there is not much weight there. A would be the best example with the best circumference and volume. Because the

Weight must be more evenly distributed in a terrestrial animal, as it is not supported by water. So since the dolphins and whales live underwater, they will feel lighter due to the water mass or volume. Because that volume is higher than their mass or proportions, they can easily move. But for a animal in terrestrial, since they do not live underwater but on land, the mass or volume of the land is lower than theirs. So their body size is heavier than mammals that live underwater.

5) My mean for the large animal max load was 167. it was 166.97 so I rounded it to the nearest number. My small animal size max load mean for the class was 36. My original number was 35.56 so I rounded it to 36. I was surprise that many people in the large animal max load got the same number as me, I saw two other students with 190. I noticed many were in the 100 while I noticed one over 200 I believe. For my animal small max load, most of the students were around my number. Some students were 45 and I think I saw one that was 50? I was surprise that the small animal could take that much weight.

Animal research will always be a very controversial subject in the veterinary field and also in the general public. Most people that are against it are just uneducated about all of the aspects of animal research and the high importance of it. The most significant threat against animal research is the organization called PETA. Yet, the president of PETA is an insulin dependent diabetic. I am sure the president of PETA is ignorant to the fact that without animal research, there wouldn’t be insulin for her to use. As a veterinary technician myself, research on animals seems to be…

Say you bought a perfume that you absolutely fell in love with, but then you find out in order for it to be “certified” it had to be tested multiple times on animals. Would you still buy this perfume? The debate over animal research can be confusing unless one understands the very different goals of animal welfare organizations and animal rights groups. These mainstream goals encompass traditional concerns for the human treatment of animals. Should scientists be allowed to do research that causes pain and injury to animals like dogs and chimpanzees if it produces new information about human health problems?…

Since the last century, animal testing is going on. (Your tense here doesn't make sense; "since" is past, "is" is present. Decide which you want and then stick with it.) Animal testing is a test done by the researchers in the laboratories with animals. Some people believe that it is a cruel and inhumane practice. While others believe animal research is needed to advance, especially in the medical field, also important in improving human health. Deaths through research are absolutely unnecessary and are morally no different from murder. When locked up they suffer tremendous stress. Can we know they do not feel pain? However, animal testing has helped to develop vaccines against diseases like rabies, polio, measles, mumps, rubella and TB. Operations on animals helped to develop organ transplant and open-heart surgery techniques. So in our new technological society, I believe that animals should only be used for research when absolutely necessary. (Watch random and inappropriate capitalization.)…

Animal experimentation has dedicated to life science by helping cure people and making new medicine for many diseases although it has harmful side effects. Dr. Corina Gericke states that animal research is not a scientific method anymore, so it should not be allowed. The medicines tested for safety via animal experimentation brings out several terminal maladies for people, which shows people and animals have fairly different biochemical (Corina). However, the University of Oxford states that there are far more similarities between people and human than difference so animal research contributes to the development of medical science (the University of Oxford). Of course, the results of animal research are not 100 percent accurate, but the fact…
