Introduction A great chasm exists that separates unbelievers from believers1. An example of this chasm is presented in the Gospel of Luke, “And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom.”2 The chasm is presented in the “afar off” statement. This chasm, as pointed out by David Wheeler and Richard Leach, is what makes evangelism necessary. Essentially, every Christian is to seek a way to bridge these chasms bringing the unbeliever face-to-face with their Creator3. In order to perform this great task, and the task was as great in the Apostles’ day as today, “Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest”4 the Christian servant today must rely on the Lord in every aspect and seek out opportunities to present Christ to those around him. Seeing then that there is such great work ahead, and the laborers have been assigned their task, “For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him”5, the only success to be found is through sharing the faith by the Word of God through the Spirit

In their book, A Trinitarian Theology of Religions: An Evangelical Proposal, Gerald R. McDermott and Harold A. Netland construct a Trinitarian theological framework to help Evangelical Christians to Scripturally engage religions and religious others. McDermott and Netland recognize that the rise of globalization prompts the need for a proper theological framework to help understand other faiths. Theological framework is necessary for Christians to live among neighbors and friends belonging to other religious paths.…

The laity's primary vocation is the call to holiness. This universal vocation is to be lived out in union with the whole Church. Therefore, as the laity are becoming more prepared today than ever before for the work of evangelization, it is important that there be great collaboration and unity between the ordained ministers, the consecrated ministers and the lay ministers of the Church. Prayer, maturity, and spiritual zeal for the salvation of souls are required to put aside any differences of opinions or personalities that can surface when various people are seeking the will of God through their…

The evangelism method I chose to summarize for you today is The Romans Road. The Romans Road is one of the intellectual methods of evangelism. This method is a straight forward method as to why we need salvation. The Romans Road tells us who needs salvation, why we need salvation, how God provides salvation, how we receive salvation and the results of salvation. This method is sort of like a paved road using the book of Romans. There are advantages and disadvantages of using the Romans Roads. One of the many advantages of this method is that is very straight forward and to the point. Where that is an advantage it can also be a disadvantage. It seems it can be to forward. Even though you follow each step if you don’t confess with your mouth that you are a sinner and believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we can all have eternal life then this method will not be followed correctly.…

Here Deusing argues that while the Gospel is an end to the means in this current construct, the biblical design for evangelizing is often disregarded. Another assertion that Deusing makes is that the church suffers not from being attacked from without but from within and blames the lack of making the church central to the biblical model of evangelism as the main culprit. Deusing also points out that what often happens with the church in response to this disregarding of biblical constructs is the development of impure churches, which fosters self-destructive behaviors from internal disputes and doctrinal…

Share Jesus Without Fear by William Fay with Linda Evans Shepherd was written to inform the reader how important and how to share your faith with people. It is a book that tries to motivate and teach believers to be successful in sharing their faith (the gospel) in a simple but effective way. One of the most common struggles of pastoral work is ministering to people who come to church deflated, de-fused and defeated in their spiritual lives. Many people never muster up the courage to walk through the doors of a church because they’re afraid of what God may think about them, and many of those who actually do darken the doors of a church are all but convinced that they are dreadfully sinful people deserving of nothing more than God’s wrath and punishment.…

Part ONE-Evangelistic Method #1- The intellectual method I chose was Four Spiritual Laws. I found a pamphlet by Bill Bright, which stated in plain English the four laws, God loves you, Man is sinful, and Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. And, we must individually receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This method would be great to use in any setting, weather believer or non-believer. It further shows how much God loves us, by sending His only son. This method does not pressure the person, encourages the person to look inside of themselves and understand their need for what God is offering. It’s not forcing the person, it invites, and that is the advantage…

The topics chosen for discussion in this paper are repentance and evangelism. I chose these topics because I find them to be personally essential as I grow in Christian faith. Repentance and evangelism are both fundamental parts of God’s requirements of man. These topics must be acknowledged and understood by Christians, in order to be carried out. First, an individual must make a decision to do so as it has importance to their relationship with God.…
