LABOR OUTSOURCING
LABOR OUTSOURCING JESSE DIMKA 129932

Labor outsourcing is a usual practice that organizations and companies use for cost saving benefits, it is when certain jobs and job functions are assigned to sources outside the company or outsourcing agencies to get the job done. Labor outsourcing is said to be very beneficial for some companies because it is cost saving and the outsourced jobs are done for cheaper than it would if it was done internally within the company or country. Outsourcing is something that most companies depend on but like every other thing, it has it advantages and disadvantages.one of the common problems of outsourcing is that it puts peoples job at risk because when jobs are outsourced to sources outside, the is a high chance that they might lose their jobs and this normally occurs with low skilled workers with routine jobs. This is common in the United States of America. Another problem is the fact that it is a risk of exposing confidential information, when jobs are outsourced; there is a potential risk that information might be accessible by the third party. This is usually with human resource or company recruitment. It also includes a lot of hidden costs to companies trying to sign international outsourcing contracts; these hidden costs can be risky. A large portion of people are against outsourcing for the reason that it can lead to increases in unemployment in the country, while foreigners are offered employment instead. This is because it is less expensive for companies to hire people in other countries to perform a job than it is to pay someone in America that will give the same labor. Americans are paid more for a job than others in developing countries as the cost of living in the US is higher. Those in support of outsourcing believe that this practice will benefit the economy in the future. This belief is housed on the concept that with more successful foreign countries, there will be more exports sold from the US.…

Outsourcing has seemed to acquire a rise in popularity and usage in our modern times. Outsourcing involves entering into a contract in which an in-house company process, or processes, is ultimately handed over and dealt with from a third party’s perspective. I would have to say that there are three primary, helpful factors to outsourcing, especially when it comes to the world of business. To start off, the cost of operations can be trimmed down through outsourcing. This, in turn, would assist a corporation or business in accumulating more lucrativeness. Secondly, every organization out there has the intention of delivering top-of-the-line services and goods. Outsourcing can contribute to more efficient deliveries. Specifically concerning information technology or something that would be considered to be a bit more technical, outsourcing can bolster efficiency within that particular field of a technical nature. Thus, productivity would be improved through outsourcing. Thirdly and lastly, within a set interval of time, an establishment has the ability through outsourcing to complete projects promptly. This is due to the fact that while a third party is handling a certain progression of a certain company, that individual company can now use its human capital and employees – that may originally were going to have to deal with a peculiar development stage of a certain project which has now been outsourced – in other, more beneficial ways. More labor can be put into other areas.…

You become worried about all the employees who have been removed from their jobs. The government will provide a limited supply of unemployment pay, but they cannot guarantee all displaced employees’ their jobs back.…

    Outsourcing in America

Outsourcing is weakening the nation’s job-creation engine, and leaving thousands of newly unemployed workers here in the United States in search of work. With the number of companies outsourcing jobs continually increasing, it becomes a much larger issue for the U.S. workforce to find a job when so many are being outsourced overseas. Unfortunately this trend is likely to continue to cause serious harm in the United States if it continues to go unmonitored. Foreign and American governments have contributed to the problems caused by outsourcing in a number of ways. Some of the more visible ways are a lack of monitoring and data gathering, ceasing to enforce any pressure or penalties upon companies outsourcing jobs, and U.S. jobs being outsourced due to foreign incentives. These three issues are a large contributing factor to the current problem of outsourcing in the United States and its negative impact on the American workforce.…

Experts on the topic argue that outsourcing allows for more corporate profitability, which in turn shows that companies are solely outsourcing their jobs in order to achieve this profitability. In fact, in a recent study it was shown that if items can be produced for cheap, then they could be sold for cheap and also more profit since the item cost so little to produce. Panos Mourdoukoutas from Forbes acknowledges that outsourcing does in fact lead to corporate complacency in many instances. He says “Outsourcing is easy to be replicated by the competition; it leads to fragmentation and disintegration of the supply chain, inviting new competitors into the industry. It also nurtures corporate complacency; and it undermines a company’s relations with its labor, customers, and the domestic and local communities” (Mourdoukoutas). This is saying that outsourcing is easy to be replicated and can very much help a business produce a profit, so it causes many businesses in a given field to replicate the same process. When this same process is replicated, it shows many other people who want to begin a big business that they can just outsource all their manufacturing jobs and make a great profit in the same field of work, therefore causes a rapid growth of more businesses in this field. What readers must understand is that this instance can occur in almost any field of…

Since the beginning of the recession, there has been a heated debate over the moral and economic benefits of outsourcing American Jobs. One side may contend that the lowered wages in China would aid in revamping the economy while the other would claim that jobs should be brought back to America. Los Angeles Times journalist Tony Barboza’s assertion that outsourcing of United States labor to China is equally as detrimental to the country as it is beneficial is effective in that the level of pollution carried across the Pacific Ocean from China ultimately defeats the purpose of outsourcing.…
