Pursuing a career in an automobile company was a decision I made following a visit to auto expo held in the national capital. I finished school with excellent grades in mathematics and science in 10th(CBSE). At the10+2 level due to the relatively conservative marking scheme followed by State Board, my score took a dip. Still I got the district highest in Mathematics and English. I also ranked among top 3.5% of 400,000 (yes, competition in India is that high) in a national level entrance exam AIEEE for undergraduate study to understand the basics of the automobile and the science and engineering behind it through a degree in mechanical engineering. I am proud to say that my college is an Institute of National Importance according to an Act by the Govt of India.…

    1. Introduction The expected large rise in power demand during the coming 21st century is accompanied by mounting problems with power plant siting, environmental impact, resource shortages, and increasing shortage of available space for fuel and power generation and distribution. Although industry, often assisted by government, is making gradual progress in addressing these problems, the pace of the progress, when extrapolated into the future, is not likely to meet humanity’s needs. Even worse, if not accelerated, it may lead to irreversible harm to the environment and to the ability of future generations to continue their progress towards improved living conditions.…
