Kayak Descriptive Writing
A rush of crisp morning air-filled my lungs as I inhaled. Roaring water attacking the banks of the river captivated my eyes. 8 o'clock, the perfect time to be kayaking because the water still resembled glass displaying white sand littered with seashells and the natural soothing breeze relaxes my unusually tense body. Even the scenery is perfect at this time because the sun gives the colored tear shaped leaves a warm glow. Everything about kayaking is perfect, except for one thing…spiders.

The kayak slowly waded through the now slightly choppy water, it had been 30 minutes on the water now and still no spider accidents. My mom saw that I was getting very nervous so she suggested the I hop in the water and snorkel. Icy water numbed my body

The kayak became a sudden tilt-a-whirl and we spun into a tree. That wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't slapped a tree branch that was infested with a bunch of baby spiders. I flung out of the kayak like a person on fire would jump from a cliff into a lake. My mom followed my lead and then she flipped over the kayak while I dove into the depths of the river to rid myself of any hitchhikers who made their way onto my body. My lungs burned for air, but I stayed under until I had counted to 60 seconds because you can never have too much caution when interacting with …show more content…
My fingers clawed my way up the side of the old tangled tree until I reached the top. Up there I really started to ponder how much $10 really meant to me. The air was thin and the water was a dark blue, almost black that looked like it was beckoning me to my death. Then I jumped into the air and soared down like an eagle into the dark, icy waters. I hadn't even fully realized that I had jumped until I hit the water. Those few seconds when you feel like you can do anything come very rarely in life and at that time I had experienced

When Goodie arrived and the wind was strong my friend Gena and I would ask to go on the hobie cat and of course my brother Bertram and his friend Jake would too. So it was set, we were all going on the Hobie together. When Gena and I had our life jackets on and Jake and Bertram got on the boat, we were set Goodie started by asking us if we wanted to go on the trapeze (a wire that holds you up by a special harness) and of course we did. While Gena went on while Bertram, Jake and Goodie managed the boat below. Gena and I thought it would be fun to see how long each of us could stay on the pontoons. Gena was technically cheating because she can balance well and I'm not as graceful.. But the real trouble happened when my pontoon started going a few inches under water. I was so freaked out that I started moving forward to get away from the water but that made it worse. Now the front of the boat was tipping. I was so scared. Gena was on my left laughing her butt off.…

We were all sucked dry from the sun that day with zero energy left, we scavenged what we could and we still ate better than we could have at any local dinner. The day was still long and was only going to get hotter and longer even as the day came to a close. There was more things to do around the land than there was at any theme park. So as we all sat around and waited for something to do you could tell that everyone was thinking the same thing as sweat poured down all of our faces. The cold spring fed creek was the only thing that was going through my mind and I knew that was the only thing going through anyone else’s. We walked down to the creek as there was no other way that you could reach it, and as we got closer and closer you could hear the light eco of the fifteen foot waterfall coming off of the trees. The only thing I was looking for was the spit of the water flowing up through the large oak and misquote tree branches. You knew when everyone saw the water, you could see the sight of the crystal clear water shining off of everyones eyes and you could tell that there was a sudden sign of relief that came upon everyone after the long walk through the large misquote trees avoiding as many thorns and cactuses as they possibly could, being careful as could be you weren't going to miss all of them. And there was no better feeling than soaking your wounds in that…

I knew I wouldn’t make it to the top of the murky, warm and brown waters. I could feel the oxygen being released quickly from my lungs and bubbles swiftly skimming my skin as I slowly reached the bottom of the lake. I heard the faint cries for help and loud splashing as my sight becomes blurred. I felt someone’s hands grab mine and pull me onto the grainy dusty dirt. My vision comes back and I feel everyone’s eyes on me. They all immediately start laughing at me as I stood up and brushed the dirt off of me, feeling something tightly clutch my body.…

After three days of staying in Alcove Springs fully rested we set off for Fort Kearney. We were moving along platte river for five days everything fine and dandy until I hit a giant rock with my wagon which sent half our stuff in the wagon flying with a big, "clash". I first checked to see if my family was alright, which they were and then I saw the cat who got his tail half chopped of by the trunk crushing it. I decided to chop off the half of the tail that was crushed. As for the wagon, it was just a broken tire. I was lucky another person on the wagon train had a spare I told them I'd pay them…

It was 2007 on an enormous lake in Wisconsin as the beautiful day came to an end, and the sun began to set, you could smell the calm water, and the trees. A minute later we hear a loud crash. Our boat hit a log, and we are stranded out on the lake. Night comes around, and the mosquitoes are like needles flying in, and snacking on everyone leaving huge throbbing bumps. The air was cool and our throats were dry, we tasted the tanginess of the outdoors as we gather together to stay calm and warm. My mother takes charge, and makes us…

I took one last look at the bedlam of water crashing inches away from me before I took my first step up the slippery rock. After making my way to the top of the waterfall and then staring down my possible death directly in the eyes. I took a deep breath and make my final courageous act. Leaped of the wet stone, soared through the sky as if i was an eagle, free falled for just over two seconds and then breaking through the smooth surface of the water. It felt like the most amazing thing in the world, courage.…

My adolescent legs strain as I continue along the path aimlessly and my stomach rumbles in emptiness as I realise, I left without food. How can one think of such things at a time like that? I most certainly didn't. Just minutes before leaving for an awesome party one doesn’t remember to do a lot of things and now the only thing dwelling in my gut is the sore pain that was the increasing hate for the cruel beings that have abandoned me here. Lost in my thoughts, my melancholic walking pattern is disrupted as my foot catches on a thick branch in the deceptive darkness and I fall swiftly face first into a small jagged rock. Dazed, I lift myself up from the ground and dust myself off. My left eyelid closes automatically as blood rolls down the top of my face. Cursing, I wipe my face with my white sleeve, soaking the cotton a blackish red instantly. The shock disperses and pain sets in, sharp agony mixed with a strange tingling sensation on my forehead.…

During Summer 2015, I was in the calm waters of Lake Michigan, preparing to try wake-boarding for my first time. My Dad had me hooked up to our rose-red WaveRunner and he asked me if I was ready. My life jacket was pulling on my throat a little bit so I pulled it back down, and said “Yes, let's go!” He took off and I was yanked out of the water! Somehow I managed to stay standing, and we kept going. My wake board was drifting a little too far left so I pushed my left foot forward, thus learning how to align with the center of our wake. Unfortunately, about five seconds later, a wave collided with our wake, forming displacement in the water, and I fell back down. Luckily I was not hurt and I would go on to keep trying for the rest of…

First, we went to the office to sign all the waivers, which made me really nervous for my life. Since we had a long wait, we sat down with the other people who were in our group. I met an elderly man and his wife; they were very polite and friendly. It was their first time parasailing also. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, it was time for us to board the boat. We had to walk across the street and down a long walkway to get to the dock. As we were boarding the boat I almost slipped and fell into the water.…

When we started, all was going great, the water was crystal clear, tons of fish, coral, and other sea life. Then along came the monstrous 12ft hammerhead shark that roams around the cove every so often. It started to swim closer to us, so my father and I decided to go down near the coral so it wouldn’t think about us as food. As we descended down about 10 feet or so I heard a loud pop in my ear, but thought nothing of it because I was too worried about the shark. When we finally came up after the shark started to turn around to leave, my ear felt like someone was stabbing my eardrum repeatedly, with a red hot knife. I talked to my dad and asked if there could be something wrong with my ear after I told him what happened as we went down towards the coral.…

I am a blue bag, made in a small factory in Paris that produces exclusive bags under the Silver Star brand. After passing the Manufacturer Test, I was brought into Malaysia by sea. Along with a few hundred of my friends in various shapes and sizes, we were carefully wrapped in tissue and plastic before being packed into boxes. Unfortunately, I was plagued by sea-sickness the minute I was escorted on board. Nausea and queasiness were my constant companions as the sea vessel rocked and rolled during the tedious journey.…
