What separates the average person from someone who leads? Many can agree that a great leader is someone who leads by example, makes sacrifices, and someone who can be trusted in any situation. These are all traits that a great leader needs in order to have those around him to follow diligently.

Leading by example should be done through actions and not only words. For example, George Washington during Valley Forge stayed with his troops during one of the harshest winters in 1777 with very limited food, shelter and clothing.
