Kari Tahe Analysis
Kari Tahe is a 17 year old girl who has unbelievable talents of coding and creating complicated creations. Kari is also really good at hacking. She finds herself battling with the government over her abilities and differing beliefs. Kari is very hard headed and tends to be independent because both of her parents are extremely busy throughout the story. One could call Kari a strong-willed person because she does things according to what she believes is right, even when those of high authority tell her to do otherwise. With all of her best intentions, she makes her decisions based upon the consequences it may have on the people are her. Kari is also very thoughtful of others opinions even though she may not agree with them, she is very understanding …show more content…
Kari’s mother is a hard-working and determined woman and very reliable. Kari’s mother shows that she is reliable when she tells Kari, “‘No. No, it’ll take more than the promise of a civil war to keep me from having dinner with my daughter on a Thursday night.’”(8). This statement from Kari’s mother shows that she is reliable for keeping her promises by having dinner with Kari even though she has been working hard and is very tired. Kari’s father is very caring and trusting towards Kari’s decisions, telling whatever decision she makes, he knows that she is making the right one. David’s parents and siblings play a very small part in the story by just having Kari and David be the responsible ones to get them to safety. David’s father plays a little bit more than the rest of the kids or David’s mother by showing is paranoid of following orders from a high schooler that is really just a stranger to them. Sarah is a student in Kari’s class that doesn’t get along with Kari at all and is someone that Kari just uses to hack into her accounts to send information to David and to find information on what is going on in the world.
