Kaleb Lopez Trying To Make New Friends Essay
Kaleb Lopez was the new kid at Oklahoma High school. After his father lost his job in New York Kaleb and his family were forced to move to Oklahoma where they stayed with Kaleb's grandparents. After moving schools in the middle of the semester, Kaleb found it hard to make new friends. Every time Kaleb would try to make a new friend, he would begin to sweat as if someone was holding a heat lamp over him. The first time Kaleb tried to talk to someone he actually had to ring out his shirt from all the sweat. As the year went on, he started to think of some ideas that might bring his new friends. That’s when he came up with the perfect plan, throw a party. Kaleb had never been to a party before, let alone throw one. James and Carlie where his two older siblings who had come down from college to visit the family. When they entered the house, it was like someone had turned on the light for Kaleb, who better to ask for advice than my older brother and sister he thought. As the week came to an end the rumor of Kaleb epic party got spread throughout the school like a wild fire. While he waits for his guests to arrive, he begins to think of all the new friends he would soon have. Hour by hour his anticipation of his guest’s arrival began to fade. His joy slowly turned to anger at himself. Kaleb Lopez was always a strange boy who never really fit in with other people.
