Judaism And Christianity Similarities
People who follow Christianity are called Christians and Judaism are called Jews. There are 14 millions of Jews living in Israel, Europe, USA and 2 billions of Christians are living in the Europe, North and South America, and rapidly growing in Africa. Christianity is the first largest religious group while Judaism is the 12th largest group in the world. The clergies for Christianity are called priests, ministers, pastors and bishops and the clergy for Judaism is called rabbis. Christians’ house of worships are church, chapel and cathedral and the main day of worship is Sunday. Jews’ house of worship is called synagogue and their main worship occurs on Saturdays.     Christianity is different from Islam and Judaism in many ways, one being the holy book that Christians believe in. It is called the bible and it contains two testaments called the New Testament and the Old Testament. The beliefs for Christians are also very different because they believe that god has three parts, God the father, God the son, and the Holy Spirit. They also believe that Jesus is divine, a part of god and that he died on the cross. Another key believe was that you obtain salvation by following Jesus’ teachings. Christianity is also the only religion without a sacred language. The rituals for Christians contain an ordinary ministry and have priests and rituals of the faith. There holy building is called a church, and Christians worship in it every Sunday experiencing sacraments, reciting there creed, praying and reading from the bible. They also have seven sects which are all different from Judaism and Hinduism.…

    All religions are very specific with the details which set that religion apart from others. However, when all the little details are melted away, there are only a mere handful that are different in essence. When looked at closely, even the religions which are perceived completely dissimilar at first glance are surprisingly similar. For example, the Voodoo religion, and that of early Christianity are stereotyped as extremely different, but with closer inspection, not only are these two religions are very obviously similar, but Voodooism stemmed, partly, out of Christianity.
