Graduating with a Bachelor’s Of Science and a Masters In Criminal Justice in 1996, we have chosen Shadequa Coad to receive the Young Alumnus Achievement Award. She has always been passionate, ambitious, hard working, persistent, and honest. Shadequa was always passionate about branching out in the Criminal Justice System. She never had her mind set on exactly one career. She was open minded to trying out multiple careers until she found what she liked. After graduating, she automatically landed a job at Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center in New Jersey. She enjoyed working with the young men and women that came in there. She watched so many people families give up on them, and as a result she was able to pour into their lives. Thought the world there are new civilizations growing and becoming prosperous every day. From now till back in 1500 B.C.E. the world has been forever changing. In the Middle East and China new events take place every day that can alter the civilization from a grand impact to the littlest thing. Each civilization has something that sets it apart from the rest, but also has numerous things in common with surrounding areas and civilizations, or ones half way across the world. Although Egypt and China developed in different areas of the world, they both were still able to have similar aspects in geography and religion, but also able to develop difference in these characteristics as well. The people of Egypt and China both settled in river valleys and shared a common climate. It is said that most places that are located on the same line of latitude usually have particularly similar and close climates to each other. China and Egypt both developed and grew around the same latitude thus giving them the same climate and the ability to grow similar to almost the same crops. The geographical features of the areas differed though. China was surrounded by mountains and water on one coast. While Egypt was geographically isolated from the rest of the world due to the deserts surrounding them. This change in ground and soil caused them to have the ability to grow different crops even though they shared a common climate. Religion was another feature of similarities and differences. Egypt and China both believed an abundant amount of Gods, which proved them to be polytheistic just like the Hindus of India. Egypt believed in their kind as God sent to earth to maintain ma'at, along with China who believed in Tian and Di as their link between people and God also. On the other hand, Egypt built pyramids for the afterlife, and the Chinese hand no such thing. China believed in more…

Mansato Company understands the importance of maintaining corporate responsibility. First, they have developed a three tiered commitment policy directed at sustainable agriculture. Second, the company illustrates social responsibility in that it has created the Mansato Fund, which contributes millions of dollars to food security projects. Additionally, the Mansato Company supports several youth programs, and has made contributions to countries suffering from natural disasters. With this being said, Mansato Company, historically, has run into serious ethical dilemmas. For example, in the 1970’s, the company was hit with a huge lawsuit due to the product Agent Orange. Then, with “new” Mansato, it was revealed that the company had covered up decades of environmental pollution. For instance, huge lawsuits were filed against the company for the release of toxic wastes into creeks, and the disposal of PCB’s into open pit landfills; Mansato was completely aware of the pollution. Bribes and patents have resulted in additional ethical dilemmas. Although the company has promised to closely monitor these issues, the Department of Justice has begun a civil investigation into Mansato’s practices. Finally, many stakeholders believe that biotech crops are unnatural and impose many health risks for animals and humans. With regards to farmers, the company’s patent restrictions have put a financial burden on farmers, and the company’s power has given farmers a reason to believe that Mansato investigators are unethical. Unless the company can build and maintain a more strict ethical culture, pending legal lawsuits with the DOJ and companies like DuPont could potentially cause destructive damage to the company.…

The countdown to Christmas has begun and it’ll be here in a flash along with my birthday. This year I am really hoping for a tablet. I know that I already have a laptop, but a tablet will make researching things for school much simpler and has the potential to help us all, me with my homework and you, because you may find that my grades improve. There are three different types of tablets I have researched in hopes to persuade you, they are; an Ipad mini, a Nexus 7, and a Kindle Fire HD. They all, basically, do the same things, but some a little better and some a little more.…

It’s been awhile since I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with you, and I hope all is well. I am contacting you in regards to an increasingly paramount concern I have with the legal representation for folks with pending criminal, or civil charges in our community. The last time we spoke in April was during WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) training, and I inquired how to become more involved in the “big picture” with the recovery movement. Your response was encouraging, yet a challenge for me as an inexperienced PSS (Peer Support Specialist); you asked me to look for opportunities within the recovery movement, aspects that can be improved. In essence, what needs to change, and what can I do to contribute to that transformation!…

Last day of NSTP II. Before that all of us work so hard to prepare for our mini programme that held at Day-care Center in Magallanes St. Intamuros, Manila. Our section decided to give some children a gift from the bottom of our heart. A little gift that can make them happy even for just the couple of hours. I admit it’s not easy to prepare such things like that. Although our programme is not that stressful it’s take us to the bottom of our stress and tired mind. It’s not that easy to think, plan and decide on what and how we can make children happy. Yes we all know that children can be happy in easy way but what we want is the happiness we can see in their face not because of what things we gave to them. All we want is the happiness from their experience to be with us, to share their moment with us.…
