Before the heliocentric theory, it was considered truth that the universe orbited the earth. The common knowledge of that day altered their truth. Our generation considers the statement "love is love" as truth. Yet, this same statement considered the highest of sins less than a few decades ago. The faith-system could be trust between source and reader or trust between government and citizen. This faith-system makes us think a certain way without us even realizing. While writing this essay and doing the research I posted interesting bits and pieces of information on my social media account. In less than half an hour I already had people privately messaging me stating that they disagreed with me and gave me a list of reasons of why I was wrong. In that moment it dawned on me that while writing this essay I was writing, in my mind, to blank receptive word document and I never considered how people would react. In that moment my hands trembled and my mind blanked as I questioned how I was going to defend my point. But then I realized I did not have to defend truth because truth was irrefutable. I reread the messages and realized the people had read things that I did not write and had inferred what they wanted to infer. This person believed I was trying to spread hate because their faith-system dictates that if someone does not share your beliefs they are trying to hurt you. But, by God given wisdom I was able to answer the queries with the truth that they couldn't deny, in the end they ended up agreeing with me. Truly it was easier to go back to the beginning, let there be light, and allow the original wisdom to become my truth and eventually the individual's truth. By seeking a truth and not the Truth we have discredited wisdom and we have grown wise in our understanding. The closest reality to the most conclusive truth is Jesus, not to sound religious but one of the oldest and reliable sources is the Bible. Although an open-minded mentality can bring unity to society when each person has their own relative truth we suffer great consequences in terms of finding the original

"Truth is what is so about something, the reality of the matter, as distinguished from what people wish were so, believe to be so, or assert to be so" (Ruggiero, 2019, p. 27) . Truth can be the ultimate opiate, however that is not the case with every society. Communities often have their sense of truth altered, making every effort put towards achieving and maintaining that truth futile. These manipulations in mindsets are usually set in place by leaders who want people to follow their ideas so they could gain power, and the ideology isn’t seen by the community as manipulated until after that leader falls. Truth is a form of objectivity, yet people still think it is subjective to a person's morals, if truth was subjective then everyone would be right all the time even when they’re wrong,…

What is truth? A simply complex question, truth is what we know, what we believe, or simply what is definite. I believe that we have personal truths that drive our beliefs, both of which are ever changing. In these changing truths, there is a common attribute: to further our truth is to strain our own being. For the betterment and continuity of human thought, we must undergo personal strains in the hope of going deeper into our changing beliefs. These strains are not all internal, for looking for truth is to subject ourselves to the possible maleficence of our own findings. The truth is a dangerous necessity.…
