Is Britain still a racist country in the modern day?
Racism is objectively defined as any practice of ethnic discrimination or segregation and is one of the world's major issues today. Many people are not aware of how much racism still exists in British schools workforces, and anywhere else where social lives are occurring. It is obvious that racism is incorrect, as it was many decades ago but it sure has not gone away. Racism very much exists and it is about time that people need to start thinking about the instigations and solutions to this matter. Many people believe that it depends on if a person was brought into the world as a racist or not but that is not always the case In fact, an individual cannot be born a racist but only learn to become one as they grow from child to adulthood. Basic causes are institutions, government, anti-racism groups or even racism in police and crime. It is a known fact that police forces in Britain abuse their right to stop and search people as they go about their day to day life. It is has been revealed finds that an officer's power to stop and search, based on having a reasonable suspicion of involvement in criminality, is disproportionately used against Afro-Caribbean and Asian Britons. In fact Black British people are twice more likely to be stopped and searched in the street than any white or mixed race individual the specific statistics are Broken down by race, in one year the Metropolitan police stopped 195 per 1,000 Afro-Caribbean people, and 78 per 1,000 Asian people. The figure for white people is 49 per 1,000.
