Iris By the Goo Goi dolls
IRIS by the GOO GOO DOLLS:

Lyrics:
And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't wanna go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
When sooner or later it's over
I just don't wanna miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive

Chorus repeats x2

Tempo is the speed at which a passage of music is or should be played. A faster and more upbeat song that Rascal Flatts performs is Life is a Highway. This element shows that the music is at an exciting or thrilling part of the song. Once again, many genres of music use this to better emphasize certain parts of the songs. Rascal Flatts uses a great deal of harmony in most if not all of their music. Harmony is the combination of simultaneously sounded musical notes to produce chords and chord progressions with a pleasing effect. All three men in the group has to harmonize their voices together to the finished sound that they wanted. Another musical element this band uses is dynamics. This term means the relative volume level in music they are many different leaves of dynamics; pianissimo, piano, mezzo-piano, mezzo-forte, forte and ortissimo. These levels I have mentioned is from very soft in sound to very…

Rockabilly is one of the oldest styles of rock and roll. It blends rock and roll with the music genre of bluegrass and country music, with the rhythm of blues music. It can be known for “hillbilly” music, but with the influence it has on today's music, it would not be labeled for “hillbillies”, and yet it had the beat of swing. In the book, “The Appearance of the Electric Bass Guitar: A Rockabilly Perspective” written by Roy C. Brewer, He writes about the different basses that were used in rockabilly which gave the genres sound. He explains how in the early 1950s, rockabilly was popular due to the fact they were one of the first genres to introduce rock…

A Romantic orchestra is being played that guides a tenor voice singer and a chorus of female voices. I love how each of the instruments makes a very gentle sound that the voices of the singers flow together. The dynamics are very gentle until the very end of the song where the sound of the tenor voice and the instruments get very loud to close the song.…

The piano melody of the song is very repetitive and only varies when it becomes more syncopated at A5(1:19). The vocal melody for the line ‘Why does my heart feel so bad’ ascends and then descends, reflecting a person’s tone in a question and answer. There is also a counter melody provided by the synth strings and piano, which engages in call and response with the main vocal melody at A6.…

By the mid-1960s a mellower version of ska, known as rock steady, became the more popular form. In contrast to ska, the sparse, slower rhythms of rock steady allowed the vocalist to play a greater role. This encouraged the formation of a number of Jamaican pop vocal groups. Rock steady also put more emphasis on the…
