The proposed software entitled Pastry Making is based on the curriculum and syllabuses of PWU or Philippines Women’s University which aims to train young minds to professional bakers.

II. Purpose of Development
The target user of this software doesn’t have libraries; they require books and other references, and they don’t also have any storage to put their lectures that they get from their studies. So this is where this application comes in, this software will set as a book of knowledge where they can use it as reference and it’s because of that it is a software application, it is easily found unlike looking at the library.

III. Specification
The specification the target user is currently using is as follows: The currentOperating Systems they’re using are Windows 7 Ultimate and Ubuntu. The processor is Pentium® Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 Giga Hertz and it’s quite slow if you ask me. The physical memory or the RAM (Random Access Memory) that they currently using is just 512 MegaBytes. The Videocard is 512 MegaBytes (integrated) NVIDIA GeForce 7300/7200 GS. And the sound card they are currently using is PCSI Express x1. The minimum requirements the target user will use to run this application are as follows: Though the target user is using two operating systems, the software is compatible only on Windows OS and not runnable in Linux OS like Ubuntu. Minimum processor speed is 2 GigaHertz examples of those processors are AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+, but Pentium® Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GigaHertz will do. Videocard should be 512 or higher, Audio should be any sound device compatible with DirectX 9.0c. There should be 100 MegaBytes or higher of free Hard Disc space. Internet connection is optional for updates.

IV. Development
This application software provides a fascinating overview of the studies of baking. The pages in this application are as follows: The “Title Page”, or the loading screen is the first page the target user will see after opening the file, it is a wide screen, containing the title of this application, “Pastry Making”. The “Main Menu”, the second page, a wide picture of a kitchen, wherein every area of it is clickable and leads the user to another page; Area 1, is the picture of a warning sign, can be seen top right of the page, that leads the user to the “Safety Precautions” page, which teaches about how to avoid accidents and messes in the kitchen. Area 2; is the picture of a door, rightmost part of the screen, like most application, it is the exit button. Area 3; is the table, bottommost art of the screen, the picture of a table, leads the user to a page named “Topics” which is the main knowledge center of the application. Area 4; is the picture of books on a shelf, bottom left part of the page, this leads the user to a page named “History” which is about, like its name, history. And Area 5; a picture of tools, top left of the screen, this will lead the user to the page named “Tools” and obviously, it’s all about tools and how to use them. The “Safety Precautions” page, just like what is written above, is about how to avoid accidents and messes in the kitchen. These are a few things written here; “You've heard the horror stories: children dumping boiling water down their chest when their curiosity got the best of them, horrible burns as a result of an explosion of hot oil or a grease fire. There's no doubt that the kitchen is a dangerous place, and if you're not careful accidents can happen in a second's time.” Using some of these preventative tips can really help you avoid a bad situation for yourself or your family. For example, make sure you have a working...
