What we learn this week is-
(1) Recap from last week Mostly,
(2) Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): To eliminate or reduce extreme poverty and hunger, HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases, child mortality, to achieve or promote universal primary education, gender equality and empower women, maternal health, to ensure environmental sustainability and to develop a global partnership for development.
(3) Human Development Index and Indicators/ Human Poverty Index: such as Life expectancy, Adult Literacy, GDP per capita, Income, infant mortality rate, etc.…
(4) The Meaning of Development and International Development: it is very controversial issues. The definition of the topic would be different depend on who define is.
(5) Development: It can be a long term process of structural societal transformation, a short to medium term outcome of desirable targets and a dominant Discourse of western modernity. Don’t get confuse with Growth and Development.
(6) (7) Dimensions of Development: Spiritual Development, Human Development, Social Development, Political Development, Cultural Development, Economic Development and Ecological Development.
(7) ွSustainable Development: “Meets and needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
We do believe we’re studying these objectives; to be able to recognize what Development is to be able to distinguish what kind of development effect to whom to be familiar with some vocabulary related to International Development We believe the teacher could have done differently to help us learn easier and more
