I sincerely enjoy this program because it really opens your eyes to how the world works. * I have many hobbies and interests outside of the field that I feel I could bring in and develop new methods of connecting with the clients. For example, in high school I went to a school of the arts for drama. (Include 3 points about agency and 2 points about why you want to do your field placement there) | Agency/Program * Jim Lewis and Kathy Lewis founded Carpe Diem June 1, 1999. * They started the agency with 15 children in 9 homes. * By June 1, 2000 there were 40 children in 17 homes. | Reasons for doing field placement there * Carpe Diem allows you to build a strong connection with all of the children before and after they are placed in their foster homes. * The name really speaks for itself, it allows you to seize the day every day with all the clients. | 8) What are you bringing to the agency? (Include 3 points relevant to the CYW field) * I believe that I will be bringing a positive atmosphere to Carpe Diem because I am a naturally happy and up beat person. I will be there to provide support and encouragement to the clients because I know that children and youth who are suffering from depression and sadness will not want to communicate with someone who looks and sounds the same
