Innovation-Decision Process Paper
In the course of creating a Doctorate of Nursing Practice project there are many steps that must be taken. This paper covers only a portion of the total project. After the identification of a clinical problem and completing an exhaustive literature search on the topic recommendations to guide practice improvement can be made. The recommendations should be based around the PICO and should be supported by the findings of the literature search. Making sure the recommendations are specific, measureable, attainable, realistic, and timed will all help to assure the effectiveness of the recommendations can be accurately measured.
Planning for the implementation of the recommendations is an integral step in the project. Even high quality recommendations

During this step, the organization, environment, and individuals involved in the project were assessed in order to either adopt or reject the innovation. This overall assessment, concluded that the project was adopted by the organization and the key stakeholders. Additionally, the project setting is also supportive in the adoption of the project. The third component in the process is decision. The provider and nurses are the ones that will ultimately decide to adopt the screening tools. A change in practice that is supported by evidence and will clearly be beneficial to patients can meet resistance if the implementation plan is poor. The creation of an effective implementation plan will help to guide the project as a whole as well as provide information about the various tasks that must be completed for successful implementation of the project recommendations.
There are many tasks to be completed during the implementation process and making sure they are all completed in a timely manner is important to the progress of the project. The implementation planning process will identify the work that needs to be done for the project to be completed and in what sequence this work needs to take place (Zaccagnini, & White, 2017). The implementation plan will also be instrumental in identifying the team member best suited to complete the necessary tasks along with identifying a time table for the completion of these
