Makeup is an item normally used by females to enhance the appearance of their skin. Even though it’s strictly enhancement on the outside, how is it affecting you deeper than the skin? Is it causing any type of chemical damage? Most women don’t know what kind of damage it’s creating. They don’t know how all these cosmetics are killing their skin cells. An excessive use of makeup could cause major damage to your skin and health. Everyone should know that your skin is easily affected by any type of makeup you use. All makeup is made with synthetic material and a large amount of chemicals. Those chemicals can easily cause a lot of damage to your skin. Many dangerous heavy metals are often found in lipsticks. The most commonly found substance is lead. Lead is known to affect the nervous and hormonal system and cause allergy and irritation around the lips. Another commonly found metal is aluminum, which can cause anemia and glucose intolerance. Some other harmful products found in lipsticks are mercury, cadmium, antimony and formaldehyde. Also lipstick pigments contain chemicals that can cause your lips to blacken or a condition called Leucoderma, also known as vitiligo.
