Personal Effectiveness

During this phase of my life that is the university life where everyone seems to be in a rush to complete the tasks and meet some deadlines, I face the problem of optimizing my time utilization and concentrating on required task. This has been a serious issue because I have time to allocate for each task but I waste a lot of time doing useless activities during that time which stops me from achieving the desired results. For instance I know I have a quiz the next day. The perfect preparation would be going through the lecture slides, lecture notes and doing all available practice questions. Instead of starting in the morning I would rather waste my time here and there and then start studying at night which would only leave me with time that is sufficient to do any one or two of the three excercises. Furthermore even when I am doing that task it’s really hard to concentrate on it instead my mind swirls from the actual task. A practical example is during namaz when I think of every other thing except namaz itself.
I would really want to overcome this problem as I think it would help me improve as a person and would have some significant changes on my character. Hence, this is that one tangible change that I wish to bring in my life following this course of Personal effectiveness.
The first step would be to meditate for around 20 minutes every day. This would really help me concentrate on whatever I want to do. This is a really helpful activity as I have tried this for 2 weeks on the insistence of one of my friends. Unexpectedly, this has really worked for my prayers and he has assured me that it would help me in all required aspects. I know people who do more work in a much less time as compared to people who spend hours on a work and still fail to achieve the best. This practice of meditation might help me overcome this problem and improve my efficiency.
Another step would be to make to-do lists as

Choosing RSVP was based on it being a volunteer program. Although it is a national program its local mission is to recruit, train and place volunteers at the local level. It provides volunteers that lead, inspire and change the world. The paper collects the experiences of RSVP staff and director, its station recipients and volunteers—who all have a unique experience in contributing to the organization and agencies that are directly changed by the volunteers which provide a service.…

One of the most important roles in management may be the use of employee motivation. Without the motivation of employees a business can potentially fail or not succeed as it needs to. It is important for management staff members to motivate the employees while remembering that each employee is an individual and that all motivational techniques may not work the same on all employees. Having a range of motivational techniques can help to improve the stability of a motivational method or methods. Performing as a great manager means that the manager is in tune with not only the business and consumers, but also the employees on all levels of the business. Knowing one’s employees and their needs and wants as an employee can ease the decision of which motivational methods to use and implement. If I were to choose three motivational methods to implement from a management stand point, I would choose utilization of employee questionnaires, constant share of praise and appreciation, and the implementation of changing employee titles. Letting employees know that they are appreciated and valued can go a long way for many businesses and companies.…

This may lead an adolescent to use drugs, have unwanted pregnancies, and drop out of school. As a learner I realize that it has been a progressive or cumulative effect on the information I have learned, understood, practiced, and applied. When I first started in college I was very quiet, conservative and reserved in the way in which I process information. But as I have continued in my studies I have seen the shift from reserved to assertive but keeping an open mind when it came to learning. So, in the process of time I have changed my learning strategies based on my development as a student and the different situation in which I have encountered over the course of my college years. As a learner I know how to organize myself to meet deadlines and accomplish my goals but at the same time I don’t allow myself to go the extra mile to exceed in my studies. As a learner when I am given new task or assignments, I usually feel confident enough to do them. I ask questions if I need to and take breaks when needed. I think the best lesson I have learned is that taking your time to do something right always produces good results instead of hurrying to just finish, quality will always outdo quantity. As a learner I would rather do a good quality paper then a rushed paper to turn in something for a grade. I am in the doctorate program not only to learn and gain knowledge but also to take what I learn and make a difference. There are so many issues and problems the world has to offer and not enough people to find solutions. I want to educate people so that they become aware of what’s happening in the world they live in to prevent more problems from happening.…
