Why it is imporntant to show up for formation on time. It is always imporntant to show up on time so that way your leadership knows and has accountablity of you at all

times. If for some reason you were not to show up on time and you were not to tell them they would be heald accountable for your abscence. Also not only would they

get into trouble it would also be your ass for in the army shit roles down hill. If you think you are going to be late or something has happened that you cant control

it is always good to let your chain of command know as soon as possible so that they are aware of you abscence and can be tracking so that way they can let

either First Sergeant or the commander know and can make plans to accomodate you in any way that you might need. If in any case you are not able to get ahold of your

leadership make sure you get get an alliby to confirm your wear abouts. Because apparently just because someone says that you werent there even though they were not there

is good enough for someone to believe them. So if in any case take pictures and get a note. Also failure to report to your place of duty can result in a negative counseling

On 05/27/2016 prior to mid watch roll call in the Sergeants office you exhibited an unprofessional and demeaning attitude to me your direct supervisor buy shouting “Hey!” as I walked by the sergeants office and continued to correct a JPDMS entry I made in an extremely condescending, unprofessional manner and in front of not only the day work acting supervisor but also in close proximity to several first and second platoon officers awaiting roll call. The non-dispatched officers were named at the beginning of today. I am a Corporal, high office that, yet it will do in any case. Newt Matkin is a Corporal, Tom Anderson did not get anything, and I think he was to some degree frustrated, yet I was not shocked. There are around 5 or 6 thousand men in Camp Carrington, other than there are various men in alternate camps around the city. The 31st Regt is here other than various other veteran regts. It is not likely that we will stay here any period of time. On a small scale, being punctual for formations and general points of duty allows leaders to ensure accountability for their soldiers, address notes and tasks for the day, and promotes organization within the unit. In a larger picture, everyone’s responsibilities for the day are dependent on the entire unit to be where they need to be at the appropriate time. For example, in the event of a company going to the range the armor has to be available to open the arms room to issue the weapons as leaders need ample time to take accountability of their soldiers and to thoroughly conduct pre-combat checks and pre-combat inspections. Support units are obligated to arrive on time due to their responsibility to provide ammunition and transportation. Something as simple as the armor being late can cause a domino effect for the entire mission.…

Failure to Report negatively affects the United States Army in many ways. Let us say that SPC Snuffy misses accountability formation. He failed to report to his appointed place of duty. SPC Snuffy is not the only one who has consequences for his failure to report. He is part of a small team that affects a larger unit. Within his small team he could have soldiers under his care; he most likely has a non commissioned officer who is charged with his care. His soldiers look to him to be the middle man to help guide them day to day with his knowledge when given tasks. Accountability is very important in the Army. Accountability is taking responsibility for your actions and your items. By meaning what you say, saying what you mean, and doing what you say, when you say you will do it. By keeping track of all my items and equipment I can always be ready for anything that is needed of me by my country, my superiors, or other servicemen. Being accountable means being dependable. Where my country, my superiors and fellow servicemen can count on me in any situation. to know I will be there to do what is necessary.…

Punctuality is a very important part of military life for several reasons. one reason is that if someone is late for a patrol or convoy that patrol or convoy might haveto leave without that person. Another reason is because it will make whoever your relieving have to stay at work for longer than they are supposed to, tired and sluggish because of that fact, giving a high chance that whatever work that person does would be sub par and not up to standards because of lack of sleep. Punctuality also shows your chain of command that you are serious about your job and are ready and motivated to do said job to the best of your ability.…

    Essay for Being Late.

    • 1805 Words
    • 8 Pages

Punctuality shows that you are responsible, trustworthy and can follow directions. Punctuality isn't just an order that the Army requires, but also a good personal trait that is a reflection of a person’s character, it shows that you have personal integrity and self-discipline. While some of us are occasionally late due to circumstances beyond our control, habitual tardiness shows a lack of respect for other people and their time. If someone is late continually that shows that they more then likely do not care about what their NCO tells them. Time is a precious gem that should not be wasted at any cost. If you don't use your time wisely, you can never get it back. It is a very special resource in that you cannot store it or save it for later. Promptness is not only a duty, but is also a part of good manners, it is favorable to fortune, reputation, influence, and usefulness. Lack of punctuality is a theft of someone else's time and a complete lack of respect for others. You should be punctual in everything you do. Punctuality goes hand in hand with military discipline. Recruits are taught to obey, immediately and without question, orders from their superiors, right from the day one of boot camp. Military discipline and effectiveness is built on the foundation of obedience to orders. This is why we are supposed work so well as a team. By following orders from the more…
