Icebergs for Kuwait
What do we know and what information would we need?
Above of all, it is the most important factor that the market demands decide project development. Therefore, the market analysis is the most important element for this project. We have to clearly know our position, advantages and segmentation in the local market. We have to make sure the market demand at first, and then to consider the project development strategic. Furthermore, the environment and cost factors will also have a massive impact for this project development. The project manager has to make a reasonable project plan, and the financial manager should control the budget and monitor the costs all the time.
What can we assume?
The weather should be fine during the whole project. The ships always keep the same speed. Moreover, the icebergs will be melt when the ships through the tropical region, but they could be cut into small pieces at the middle transfer station. And then separately load and freeze preservation on the different ships that would directly ship to terminal in Kuwait.
What could the results look like?
The best result is that most icebergs will be saved and successfully transfer to the
Kuwait. And then, the fresh water can be consumed quickly and it improves the whole project development. Finally, the problem of the short supply of drinking water would be solved by this project. Furthermore, the company also earn more money through operate this project.
In what ways could we simplify the problem?
In my opinion, we could simplify the problem if we build one middle transfer station that is able to produce the bottle water through transfer the icebergs. It would not only solve the Kuwait’s water short supply problem, but also can sale to all over the world.
